two heads talking 09-Oct-03 #56646 | | Rating: - Sure, I would be glad to let you know. by the way, thanks for the rave reviews. I used a white primer to start with.. Then, I painted the main body with red gore and then inked that with chestnut ink.. I highlighted this area with blood red, then blazing orange and then fiery orange. I then washed this again with a thinned down 3parts water 1 part ink.. I then highlighted this with some blazing orange..
The head was done with rgal blue and highlighted with lightning blue, ice blue and then white. I then washed this with sky blue ink.. the transition in the neck was painted with a blood red and regal blue mix 1/2 and 1/2 and then washed with a purple ink. I then used imperial purple to highlight with some tentacle pink mixed in 5parts to 2 parts.. I added more pink to the final highlight and then washed this again with the purple ink 3parts water 1 part ink..
I was a bit dissappointed in my horns as I rushed these, but theya re snakebite leather with bleached bone mixed in then a wash of brown ink 4 parts water and 1part ink.. the wings were done chaos black with drybrushed highlights of codex grey, fortress grey and finally white..
the base was done with a mixture of green and brown inks.. |
