This is a repost of my second painted mini, as I now have a better camera. I don't know the exact model, it came from a big box of minis my husband bought between 10-15 years ago. If anyone knows anything about this mini, please let me know!
For this one, I focused on practicing layering and highlighting. I also decided to turn the studs of his sword sheath and pommel of his sword into garnets to practice gems, which I will need a lot more practice on. I'm pretty happy with the leather parts and the blue tabard. I'm disappointed by the feathers, and I'm not sure how well the shield turned out.

I'm not sure if its the mini itself, the prime job or the paint (maybe it's not thinned enough?), but it definately doesn't look smooth... | |
