Well, for the first time I feel like I have pictures that are clear, and color-correct and do the best job possible of representing this figure accurately.
This guy was a labor of love and something of a tragedy for me. Most of you already hear the horrible blue-tac story. Never again I tell you!
The handle of the scythe is probably what Im most proud of here - it is cut in 2-3 places, and with careful putty work and glue and filing, I managed to make most of the faces continue to blend together properly. Im very pleased with that.
The tanks on his back are glazed and glossed to look like glass tanks, and are shinier in real life. However, I was not able to achieve the sense of depth that appears on the ones by French Golden Demon winners - which were the inspiration for this little conversion in the first place.
Hope you like him. Im still on the fence about re-entering this miniature. I think it's just not quite good enough to win, but still good enough to come close
Best Regards
Jarrett Lee

The colour blending is very smooth and I love the way his left hand is beckoning you (left shoulder pad is great, too). The only (mild) issue that I have with this are the wires/pipes - they seem just a little too big and overpowering; I feel like they stick out a little too far. |

Rosco 22-Sep-03 #54616 | | Rating: 9 This is a fantastic color scheme for a Nurgle Lord. Everything works well together. |
Jericho 21-Sep-03 #54391 | | Rating: 8 I don't think there's anything wrong with the paintjob itself, the bone colors look fine, the veins in the armor is a cool touch and the banner looks pretty sharp too, but the conversion does throw me a little bit. The wires flying around his head really distract and draw attention from the center of the model somewhat. The scythe does look great though, no doubt about that | |
