A favorite of mine from the Elmore collectors series. Very nice dynamic sculpt for these models. My photo seems to have washed out alot of her depth.
The only thing a bit "different" about this figure is the fact I have attempted to paint her white loincloth as transluscent fabric.
The areas closest to the object making contact with the cloth were painted the same color as the object. Meaning, for example, the cloth closest to her bum was basecoated a midtone highlight of the flesh tone. The cloth not touching anything was basecoated with a mix of Vallejo's Azure 1:1 with white. Then a very thin mix of white was applied to the raised folds and edges. The mix is thin enough to let the various colored basecoats show through. I keep applying highlights to the raised areas of the folds until the most opaque areas are pure white.
The scabbard shows through a teeny bit on the front, but it's near impossible to see in photos. I also attempted to paint her as a natural blonde with the front loincloth. But it looked like she had a bladder problem so I just made it flesh colored. She's got to use her smaller dagger for something!

Anaughtybear 27-May-04 #86627 | | Rating: 10 None of your miniatures should have less than an 8. Anyone who scores you lower is doing so out of jealousy. Your faces, especially those of the female figures, are beautiful. |

Nice job on the sword. |
maximvsv 05-Oct-03 #56156 | | Rating: 9 Pretty cool. Still, the angle of the eyes seem just a bit off to me, and the chainmail doesn't quite work for me, either. I suppose the chainmail is more an issue of the texture in the original sculpt. |
No Such Agency 03-Oct-03 #56011 | | Rating: 8 Excellent work as usual, SA! The sword blade is really nice, I should have tried something similar on my Arwen... Also, the facial expression and the base are very good. |
Vallan 28-Sep-03 #55473 | | Rating: 10 OMG This mini is my new favorite! The NMM is done fantasticly. I love the eyes. As for the front of her loin cloth, if you used flesh what does that mean? :innocent: |
jahecker 28-Sep-03 #55418 | | Rating: 8 You did a great job on the transparent clothing.
The face is marvelous!
As always, a great mini! |
Rosco 28-Sep-03 #55408 | | Rating: 8 Beautiful mini. It is really cool to see these older minis painted to today's standards by a talented painter. I think the translucent loincloth came out great and I really like her sword. | |
