I like the flesh and musculature on this model. She's accented with a colorful staff, and was inspired by the lead heroine in Bernard Corwell's novel Stonehenge. She stands in a sculpted moor complete with yucky green skeleton.

Wren 26-Apr-05 #131216 | | Rating: 9 I find the score on this piece to be lower than I would have expected! The skin is superb, and the highlighting in general quite deft and eye-catching. The SENMM is pretty nicely done (the bangles on her right arm are a particular standout). The base within a base is nicely executed, and both have a great swampy feel. The only real complaint I have is I think the figure would look better with a mid to darkish brown for the darklining on the skin rather than the stark black, but I know personal preferences on that vary. | |
