Sherlock Holmes

About time I posted another Spyglass figure all painted up. Been looking forward to painting up Sherlock for ages now.

Honestly, his hand isn't really that big (as in the bottom right photo) but I needed to show this angle as nobody believed he had a normal hand in my photos of the green )

Enjoy. At posting time he should be available at the online store in about a week.

Watch for my new Elf in the next few days

I understand that we all don't have the same taste, but 8.5 for sucha mini is a little low, the sculpt is very well done. Smotth and detailed. The color scheme chosen is just right. Only thing the hand hanging back is a little to big but it might be the picture. For me is a 9.3/9.5 figure but giving a full ten to support the current 8.5. GREAT WORK

Nice. I realy like it, as all your sculpts. But I do agree a Watson is needed.

although your technique is nearly flawless I would have liked the mini MUCH more if the "tartan" on the hat was also done on the coat. It's how I remember Sherlock Holmes from the old TV stuff.

Would you please do some Jane Austen characters for me next? If I could paint all literary miniatures, perhaps I could justify this master's degree in english... Once again fantastic paint job and sculpt!

Great sculpt! I Love the cobblestone base! The only things I don't like are the squinty eyes and the lack of a Watson mini to accompany Holmes.

Conflict of opinion alert! I both do and don't like the mini at the same time. Love the sculpt and the paintjob But the subjetc matter..... To me Sherlock Holmes will always be the late actor 'Jeremy Brett' and sadly this affects my view of the mini.

I deduce that this miniature must must be owned by myself. It shows evidence of an obsession with a fictional literary character that may be equal to mine. Though his costume may not be that of Mr. A C Doyle's masterpiece, it is the one most recognized. What say you, to this Dr.Watson? By Jove, I love it!

Very well done, sir! Not overdone, and buckets of Holmsian character. I can practically smell the moors, or the vaporous streets of London. A few points, firstly he could have used a larger base, and secondly, the hand *still* looks enormous, but I'm sure it's not really
