The Avatar 23-May-04 #86113 | | Rating: 8 The painting is a bit rough, but it's very nice, the crhome in the weapon and gold on the helmet are lacking a bit more of blending, but look nice.
The detail i like more is the reflection of the fireshot on the water.
The base is not as worked as the mini... the lighting effect on the robe makes it look a bit strange, but it's a very difficult techmique, so it's a very nice try... the runes on the robe are too subtle... eldars are proud linage... that is why they tend to use lots of details and bright tones... those runes should reflect that and be more visible.
The freehand on the skirt is very nice, the NMM there is fabulous. jewels on the helmet should have been blacklined more, as they do not show at all.
Great work. |

Banshee 27-Oct-03 #58456 | | Rating: - the shoot is made of plastic...I cut a pepsi plastic bottle into a thin line and then I do a few washes of a mix of color and ink to get the light effect with red, white, yellow and purple... I use a plastic bottle because is so easy to cut and it has a circular form and is very moldeable, so when the plastic has been cut in a thin line, you have to turn the plastic into the form that you want....
then I stuck with superglue the beams of plastic to the shooting hand.
It is so easy to do and I think it looks great .
Thank you for your 10!.
I hope that you could understand my explanation though my English is so bad |
