This is the first Confrontation model that I feel I have really got my teeth into! He was a challenge to paint, which was good because it kept me interested all the way through. I am really pleased with his stack of books, and the smoke coming out of the bottles also turned out well (was the first time I used acrylic extender/retarter in my paints). Any comments would be most appreciated! And a big shout out to Biggeek, who will be seeing this model in the flesh shortly!
Thanks all!

Mengu 02-Dec-03 #63267 | | Rating: 8 I like the freehand on the book, and the smoke. Not too fond of the shiny quality on the cloak, it's probably the sealer. The face I think is also well done, though we can't see half of it. For the base I don't think the outdoor theme suits him too well. Did I mention I really like the book? It's always hard for me to come up with freehand designs. |

LouisCypher 02-Dec-03 #63251 | | Rating: 7 (7.5) i like it, specially the book is very good. IMHO you should give a little more contrast on the red robes (maybe another highlight) and face as well just to have it stand out more!
BTW, good job |
Sorax 01-Dec-03 #63240 | | Rating: 9 hmm, tossing up between 8 and 9. Good work, as I'd expect from you Pete, the smoke looks really good. the skintone perhaps I would've done with a paler tone, coz he's an old codger | |
