This is bust of French Napoleonic army volunteer (voltigeur) from year 1809. I have bought this bust to try to paint it to compare how this bust would look when painted by acrylic paints. That's because all other figure-modellers (not Warhammer and other games-mad people, but modellers painting showcase figures) use oil paints for painting their miniatures. I will have the chance to compare it in two weeks on model exhibition in Brno.
The model is from Wolf Models (they don't have their own web site, so I cannot provide you with link to this company web site; if you are interested in this bust, some retailers sell them, look for Wolf Models or Wolf Miniatures). Unlike ForgeWorld Stormvermin bust this model wasn't one piece, but it consisted of separate stand, head, shoulders and backpack.
Well I quite like it, but still there are some parts where I see possibilities to increase my painting skills.

vincegamer 14-Aug-02 #10762 | | Rating: 8 Looks good, especially around the eyes. The 5 o'clock shadow is good, but shouldn't it run down onto his neck as well? I know mine does. |
nadinbrzezinski 18-Jul-02 #8922 | | Rating: 8 You mean not all troops would be parade and campaign all at the same time? Anywah that five o clock shadow is just great |
Mick 15-May-02 #4462 | | Rating: 7 very nice paint job but one thing that strikes me odd is his shako oil skin cover is tattered and stained and his uniform is pristine..needs more uniformity..either parade or campaign look..just a thought |
