Tapping into two of the popular current themes among Space Marine players here: "True Scale" (proper heights for 8' tall models) and Pre-heresy armor varients. I'm so damn trendy it's sick. The head is from a Catachan jungle fighter by the way.

DaN 06-Oct-07 #237658 | | Rating: 8 @AKKomodo - marines are drawn from regular human stock, just like the guard, so they needn't be from "noble" bloodlines or anything, and the surgery doesn't change their features so far as I know - and they DEFINITELY work their way up the heirachy, so I think the head is appropriate.
Personally, I like "true scale" proportions, although I feel the studs are a little too emphasised and could do with trimming a little. |
AKKomodo 26-Oct-04 #107664 | | Rating: 9 I love the idea of Space Marines actually being taller then Cadians. Seriously, those Cadians are huge, either that or we have midget marines.
Anyways, I love everything except the head. When I think space marine character, I think of a more noble looking face. He lookss a bit too much of a grunt for my tastes. |
DennisMech 18-Jul-04 #94136 | | Rating: 9 I am a huge fan of both true scale and pre-heresy armor! I just wish GW made their marines like this, they'd look much more impressive and individual, as such warriors should be. |

Micha 24-Jun-04 #90846 | | Rating: 8 Nice job, I can´t say i´m a fan of what you call true scale (I think the space marines should be space-marine-sized) but the pre-heresy dsign is cool. | |
