Well, I love the miniature, the sculpt is fantastic. Probably a bit in a Harry Potter style, but excellent.

I added special base for this miniature. The wooden floor is made out of straw (pick the straw on the field, wet it, then iron it (just like you iron cloath, but using a piece of cloath over the straw to protect it from burning) to get it perfect flat, then let it dry and finally cut it with scissors and glue it. Credit goes to my girlfriend Radka who knew how to work with straw.

The table and everything on it is scratchbuilt, from plasticard, wires and greenstuff. And a wooden pearl for the globe.

Enjoy!

Great mini diorama. I always wonder if I should even attempt to do one of these. Vere inspiring. I'll give the straw technique a try. Thanks for the tip.

this is just great, mass of detail without distracting the eye from the main subject, the wizaed, love the book and the will have to try the straw thing, great work

I absolutely love it!!! One of my favorite pieces by Rackam, wonderfully executed, although I'd say it's more Terry Pratchett than Harry Potter...
