Confrontation: Celtic standard bearer (Rackham)

This mini was my first try using Dirk Stillers wash technique to paint skin parts. Along with the heavy use of shading and highlighting on the entire mini, this little guy took me 4-5 times as long as before I learned all that stuff from the people at the minipainter-list. I still have had my usual problems with fur - I am definitely not fully satisfied with the lions hide around the waist of the standard bearer. But this was one of the last parts I painted and I definitely don't wanted to strip the mini and loose all the good parts done so far. Additionally, the mini would be used as a gaming piece and for that use it was good enough. Sven "Vulture" Wichert Comments are very much apprechiated ;)

La peau est vraiment bien, mais le baton a l'air a plusieurs endroits de n'avoir recu qu'une couche de fond.

The skin is about the only part of the mini that appeals to me. The rest of seems so flat although you said there was heavy shading I do not see it.

The figure is worth a 7-8 but the pole and the lion lets it down.
