"Hi. Well here's something different to add a new dimension to your battle games. Up for auction this time we have a pair of orc landing barges, as seen ferrying Sauron's minions across the river at Osgiliath in ROTK"
"These unique models are lightweight, tough and durable. Solidly constructed from Balsa and other wood, they've been detailed with rope binding and draped skins/cloth, then painted and aged to give an 'old wood', chaotic, roughly-constructed look. Nicely detailed, aged and weathered, these work equally well as either gaming pieces or display models."
"One barge is 6.5 inches long, the other is 8 inches. The smaller one can comfortably carry 10 troops, the larger one holds 12. Alternatively they could carry several orcs and a troll, or several mounted figures. Working front ramps raise and lower on both barges. The uruk hai figures in the pics are shown just for scale, not included in the auction."
"Aside from LOTR, these barges would also work for other 25-28mm scale wargames or skirmishes. Goblin or Chaos assault barges for Warhammer, for example, or river craft in a darkest Africa/colonial campaign."
