I thought I'd try a bit of plaid on Janara, for no other reason than a simple exercise in painting plaid. I'm crazy that way. Plus nothing screams "half-orc" like plaid. You know it's true.
I also thought I'd try and be slightly fancy and give her a nifty little base. The terrain, including water, is just Sculpey carved into shape, baked, painted, and flocked. The "water" is coated with a layer of EnviroTex Lite.
Sadly, I have no entertaining stories to tell about Janara, except that I'm fairly pleased with how she came out. I really need to refine a better method of painting non-metal metallic swords, though -- the way I did hers is starting to get old.
Revision: I couldn't stand the old picture since there was some quality loss due to size constraints, so I updated the image.

No Such Agency 16-Sep-04 #102126 | | Rating: 9 I am so happy someone else posted a Janara here! (mine is #60232) And with such a... unique paint job too The plaid and the NMM are very well done. Did her freakishly thick sword blades piss you off too? |
