My entry for the GDUK 2004. He started off as one of the new Chaos Warriors, but I decided I wanted to go for a more dynamic pose that of the original. After reading a short story in the Hordes of Chaos army book I felt a Norse look would be appropriate - as the Norse seem to be oblovious to the evil nature of the Chaos Gods, and worship them as their pantheon of gods.

I painted him in very natural colours, but now that GD is over I think that he needs al ittle something more, so I will likley add more to his cloak and loincloth, and probably some runes to his armour... but we'll see

I'm agreeing with what most people put, those natural colours really look good on the model, and the armour looks really good in my opinion. But as you said the cloack and to a lesser degree the loincloth look a little bit bare, so a bit more detail there surely couldn't hurt the model

Love that Axe... would look even better if you could convert one of the Grymn to use one just like it....

Man look at the sideboards on that guy! i like your naturalistic approad, works well on this model. the colours emphasise his mass. maybe some freehand chaos markings on the armour and or something done on the cloak. i really admire the mood you have set on this model.

Pete; He looks pretty good already, don't know as I'd muck with him too much. Nice work! How'd he do at GD? Scott

Great work I think the natural tones realy suit this mini and the axe is awesome especially the leather strapping around the haft.

The color scheme works well, I especially like the cloak. And of course use of a big-a** axe always scores points with me
