I'm still working on basic technique so a lot of things (like the base) was left as simple as possible. I need to start working on blending, but the drak green ink on the ork flesh does have a sort of warpaint look to it. While I am at it, I think I missed a spot looking at the back photos. (The hand holding athe axe to be precise.)

Well, how long have you been painting?
This is not "ugly" but it need very much improvements. The skin looks like a mixingspot or something where you mix colours, keep the colours in DIFFERENT layers, dont mix them.
The armor looks ok but i think you should try to learn the basic skintechnuiqes before you start to blend.
