This was my entry for the Jenova Ego Contest. Unfortunately I didn't place, but I had fun painting Inge so it's all good . Spyglass mini's are so beautiful and wee little creatures, I suggest you get your hands on one if you haven't already, they really are a joy to paint. Anyway I hope you like Inge, I based her so she looked as if she was walking down a garden path. I even made some spiderwebs on the tree behind her.
Rating: 8 Very nice! The painting is good, the blues in particular are nice and rich, and I really like that dagger! The spiderweb is such a neat little touch. The only thing that doesn't work for me are the three pastel primary colour crystals? along the garden path.
Rating: - Thanks for the comments, guys.
Mike: I think I did overdo the base a tad. Next time I do anything like this I might have to take the shots from a different angle
Rating: 8 I'm sorry you didn't get anywhere in the Jenova Comp as this is a nice piece of work. There are some subtlies at work on here that I didn't see at first glance, The hair is a nice rich Auburn, the dagger blade and the face are also both well done.
One thing that I would suggest for the future is that on your bases you allow the feet to be seen from the front. That will make any foliage behind the mini form a frame and help the viewer. Regards It's an 8+ Mike.
