Another attempt at the basics, especially trying to get the fine intesecting lines that don't cause the paint to overlap from one zone to another. Minor drybrushing to the base and a touch of metalic blue. I left the inside of the robe black, as though it was a lining. The color design on CMON seems to imply it is more flimsy, but I thought a nice red silk with black lining would be an interesting touch and something better for cold winter nights.

Dragonsreach 27-Nov-04 #111935 | | Rating: 4 I have a number of suggestions to make on this figure. Firstly you need to learn to control the flow of your paints by thinning them to the consistancy of skimmed milk. Also you need to learn to work on skin tones by adding shadow to the flesh areas after the base coat has been applied and then raising the upper skin areas with highlights of lighter skin tone. Areas where skin comes into contact with other materials need to be handled carefully, there is one major area of overlapped paint on the cloak and also at the groin and ribcage. The lower arm looks strange as if it's notreally from this model originally.
I hope my suggestions are of help. | |
