Nice quirky sculpt so I decided to splash a bit of clashing colours on the clothing, though I had to hold back from doing Burburry check somewhere.Im pleased how the metallics on the blade came out.Boltgun highlighted with Mithral then weathered with Bestial Brown and Catchacan Green.Looks nice and rusty. Its also my first go at snow which turned out well.Gloss varnish mixed with mineral powder.I sculpted the ground myself with milliput and used one of my sons toy tractors to "run" a tread across.I then pooled some gloss varnish in the bottom to look like the snow melting.
Mark.

firedragonstudios 02-Jan-05 #116393 | | Rating: 10 Klute I love this scarecrow! Seen quite a few of these on cmon but never had the inclination to leave a comment but this is something else entirely. The work on the base is superb and really sets up the rest of the model. I'm glad to see not everyone has given up on using metallic paints and you've really shown how effective they can be when applied well.
Shame you didn't go for a bit of burberry, chav scarecrow would have been funny! Keep up the good work, Rufio xx |

The Nameless 07-Dec-04 #113437 | | Rating: 9 I love it! What a superb figure, and like clowns and jesters, even when given such a gorgeous and colourful paint job, they still maintain a sinister air. The snow and snow melt are impessive too, but I hope you put the Tractor back before anyone noticed! |
Katana Angel 07-Dec-04 #113425 | | Rating: 9 The crisp colors gives this mini a very cartoony feel. It's great! Good job with an interesting base too. | |
