ok, I think I finally have good photos of this entire squad completed with their new bases. They are the dominion squad for my sisters of battle army, this army is slowly being posted here as it is being finished. Check my galery if you're interested in seeing more.
My goal while working on this squad was to focus on a paint job to make their armor/weapons take on a polished look, without the use of metalics or gloss finish (which I had used on previous attempts). This squad I am keeping very clean, right out of the drop pod so to speak, while the next sisters squad for this army I believe I will try to experiement what nice polished armor looks like after a couple hours of combat.
The gold on their robes is the squad markings for this army, other squads have silver lining or 2 stripes, etc... Unfortuately you can't see it on many of these models, but they all bear the symbol of the Order of the Bloody Rose on their right arm (most visible on the standard bearer). This squad also includes a witchhunter acolyte as the 4th flamer, which I have slightly modified so I could attach a chain for him to be lead from, by the sister superiour, although this is obviously not pictured here.

One of the most beautifully painted squads I've ever seen. The choice of bases works perfectly to contrast the the red/yellow/gold scheme of the Sisters. Love that occassional blue accent.

If i´m not mistaken you´ve laready published some of them but they just look great now when posted together; i really like thes trong colors and I think you achieved the polished look you were lookingfor. The bases are also nice, nothing spectacular but no sand or grass - a small sensation by itself! Oh, and thank you for giving the girls different haircolors, at last! |
