This is a little project I did for my local hobby store, as they consistantly take such good care of me. In fact I had thought I missed out on my opportunity to get my hands on this limited figure until out of the blue they mentioned they had one their GW rep had sent them and I could have it.
I tried to create a little scene with a bit of a story here; an inquisitor on a dark night walking the streets cleaning up a planet which has fallen to the taint of chaos. I don't know what owns those claws just entering the scene, but I figured the inquisitor would react with "The Scourging," a power described as a flash of white soul-lighting.
My first bit of source lighting, so an experiment in that regard (note all the shadows are painted, not added with light durring photography) also I believe my first piece where the base took longer to make than the mini, which is all scratch built from cork, plasticard & wire.
The bottom photo is the inquisitor with the background removed digitaly, which I had not done many times before, so I couldn't get him to cut out to look just right, however I wanted to show the painting there without the distraction of the scene best I could. I also think he looks a little funny out of context due to the somewhat more extreme than normal lighting, but I hope it gets the idea across.
I hope you like it, as always comments/critisism is welcomed!

RunnyBunny 15-Feb-07 #214621 | | Rating: 9 Great work. The base is key to a great story. I'm getting the picture that something is walking towards him fro across the street. Perhaps its the Cheif Librarian of the Soul Drinkers Sarpedon himself come to give his brand of justice to the empire. Well you see what i mean about how a great piece like this can inspire a story. |

Chesspiece 04-Apr-06 #173555 | | Rating: 8 The miniture itself is wonderful. (9) The diarama less so. I have particular issue with the legs bursting through the cement. They look more like they are just stuck on. I actualy think the diarama would improve if they were illiminated from the scene. |

RedDawn 30-Jan-05 #120350 | | Rating: 9 Great job! Really love the base - can't believe it's hand-made! Have to admit that I don't really like the legs of the creature entering the scene without the rest of the bug. Know that's just my opinion though. |
