Here's my baby!

When i discovered Warmachine i bought the Khador box because it came with not one but two huge badarse 'jacks and the best looking Warcaster! Cryx was a very close second, their jacks look by far the best but Sorscha looks great. And she hasn't let me down, i've won all but one game played with her and that one game may have had some book keeping errors in it that cost me.

This model has actually been painted for gaming! While i wouldn't nomally go to this much trouble with a figure that will actually get on the table, i liked her so much i could resist. When i finished her though i was tempted to leave her on the shelf and do anyother one a bit shabbier that i wouldn't mind chipping. Other things got in the way of that and i had to use her any way.

I had read Prime and seen the Sorscha in there but i really didn't like the super bright red Khador has there. So, referring to her background as the Warcaster who pioneened the us of camo, i went with this idea. I also didn't want to totally abandon the colours of the motherland or use too much red.

She comes from the snowy north so the obvious choice was for some white camo, which she has on her coat and cape. The lining is red as is her armour, she can wrap the coat tight to remain hidden. The black was a nice colour to break up the red and contrast the white.

Her weapon has the critical Freeze effect so recieved something that hopefully looks like icy cold and is a technique similiar to NMM which i haven't tried before. Finally she was based with a bit of snow to finish off the whole look. The snow keeps coming loose and there are bits on her boots which aren't supposed to be there but it looks good anyway.

The size of the picture might make her look worse than IRL.

My Juggernaut and Destroyer will be here soon too.

Hey Rich! The reds are lovely - nice and smooth and rich! I think the metallics let it down as they are lacking in contrast and look almost like flat boltgun metal. A good 8 though due to the crisp smoothness of your highlights. The lips could do with more of a highlight to give the impression of gloss too...
