I thought it would be funny if the guy was shielding himself from the flames. This is my poor attempt to show the effect of blowback when I had nothing to base it on except the realization that the paint would burn off and his armor would get sooty.
I think I did a decent job on his lion, but it isn't completely visible here. My standard bearer has the arms that cover each marine's armor if you are curious
