This miniature has a great colour composition. The theme is really nice, however some darker metal would underline that even better. It also looks like the paint job is better than the picture... but from what I can revognize this seems to be a 7. The only thing I don't like is the base, there's not enough contrast between model and base. She would look better standing on a bright base (maybe not snow but at least sand or bright earth with some vegetation) as this would make her look even darker.

Agreed, the feeling of this piece is brilliant. It's like old leather, really rustic. While this figure definitely has enough depth, a wash with a very think ink before the highlighting might've made it more dramatic. |
