My entry for this years Golden Deamon at french, the first Golden Deamon I have entered. He made it to the final cut, off which I am very proud, because there was so many unbeliavable entries. The French Golden Deamon raised the standard again...I didn't think that was possible. Congratulations to all the winners.

A lot of time and work went into this one. Many things are green stuff, among other things the lower part of the legs, the head, and the banner section. I trained some blending techniques on other mini's, before I finally went on and painted him. In my own opinion he is the best mini I have painted so far. The most difficult part was actually to get the banner 'folded' and painted so that you get the impression that it is just lying there on the ground. Thanks to Jakob Rune Nielsen, Morten Riber, Iago, Albert and Astonia for feedback. And thanks to all the nice people I met at the French Games Day for a great day, It's been great meeting you all in real life finally.

- Rune

Fantastic! I held this mini in my hands and although I looked at it for quite a long time I just couldn't fault the blending on the armor. The rest is top too, especially the banner where I think you have captured the feel of it being folded perfectly, not to mention how nice and neat the freehand on it is too. In my opinion you really made a winner model here with a cool conversion, cool idea and, ofcourse, a superdelicious painting! Dare I call you, Master ?

The Beatles made music before Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd but while all are good I prefer the later two. All play the same notes but Zep and Floyd ROCK!! Kaple is making some really nice marines that are not bright pretty boys from cartoon land but look instead more dark and bad ass. I think Cyrils technique is marvelous but what's really cool is where Rune has gone with his minis using various tecniques.

A paintjob worthy of Cyril indeed, but you have also done a unique conversion that stamps the mini with your own mark. I'm amazed this didn't place.

Absolument splendide. Cyril j'aurais aimé pouvoir voir ça en vrai. Rune, as I will always say, that mini really kicks asses! Even more than your marine!!!But, I don't think we chould call that "style Cyril". Ok, the zenithal and the technique looks like Cyril, of course, but I think you've acompliched something different with a different use of colours. Your style is more "dark" and the colours seems to be used in a reallistic way. What we see here sould be called "Kappel Style". Just tell me if you think I'm wrong. Next time the Sword will be yours! So...maybe one day we will see that quality in America...
