Considering that my highest work so far is a set of furnature, I decided to try my hand at painting some bar staff for the tables and chairs. I painted, took a photo, painted some more, took another photo, and thought they were pretty good until I saw the second photo. I think I may have some more work to do to but I'm going to post them anyway.

everwill 12-Jul-05 #140426 | | Rating: 5 I always try to be upbeat ... but these look like undead / zombie wait-staff. The skin tones look way too green. If you're just starting out, I think you can be quite proud of the fact that you stayed "between the lines". You exhibit all the skill required to be a good painter. You just need a little experience. |

evil tendencies 19-Jun-05 #137535 | | Rating: 4 Not a bad start, really. It looks like you didn't use a primer coat - doing so helps very much. The color choice is a bit odd - especially on the skin. I would suggest that you check out the articles here on CMON. Finally, I want to point out the faces - the makeup on the laides, actually. Lipstick on a mini looks best if only applied to the bottom lip, and if mixed about 50/50 with the base skin tone to lighten it. You also don't usually want to use black for eyebrows - brown is a bit more subtle. | |
