What a difference a different primer makes. I was using the black spray Citadel Color primer, and on my last mini of a human I got the comment, “you should use primer.” This time I used the white spray Citadel Color and I think I got a lot better results. I painted her in my old High School team colors … I’m sure that my High School nuns might disapprove of her lack of sufficient uniform.

One of the problems is that I'm slightly out of focus and some of the green color is overlapping the yellow color. Those circles on the uper pad are really pure yellow not a blended shade as the larger picture might indicate. |
Wren 17-Jul-05 #141008 | | Rating: 6 Wow, a 4.9 score for this seems a little harsh to me... The skin is nice and smooth, the highlighting on the hair looks good (although there probably needs to be more of it), and the nipples are very nice. Football field base looks good too. The main problem I see is lack of shadowing. The grill of the helmet, for example, needs a wash of a dark colour, I think. Also I think some darklining would really benefit this piece immensely, the colours would start to pop and there would be sharper demarcation between the green and yellow areas. | |
