I am not from the Legacy company, but it's pretty obvious. The packaging and all the legal stuff coupled with an official release would make a single-figure package way too expensive, and I can imagine LM to be a rather small company (yet). I also would not like them to release the 850+ minis they have one at a time, that'd take forewer. Look at it this way, they are giving round and square bases and 3.5 cards to the figures, which is way too cool. Conf really does live again, you can even choose between 3.5 and AoR if you want to. So think of it as an Acheron starter pack. One final note, these castings are way better quality than the metal originals, so if you are a collector it's maybe worth it, even if you happen to have a few items from the box. And it's not even really expensive, compared to other resin companies (like FW)

I'd also like to see these as individual pieces, I'd like to buy the first one with horns but I'm not interested in the others, I already have the gargoyles. But I agree this is really encouraging, seeing more releases, confrontation really is back. The fact that these minis are "lovingly" placed in the box is also great.

I picked up the the hydra and flesh golem, but unfortunately I already have these. I'd probably consider getting up another Ejhin if they do singles at some point. They new casts that I've seen do look great though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some of the more rare/obscure figures come in the next Acheron release... black paladins or cerberus would be awesome. Or troops like skeletons and zombies.

I don't think this batch will move very fast. It is going to appeal to a very small niche market. Painters who don't already have any of these miniatures or collectors that want everything no matter what.. The casting maybe better but IMO not that much better to justify buying the miniatures again if you already have some of them. I can think of a dozen or more configurations that would make a much better starter or game pack. This pack looks like "5 nice sculpts and lets put them together for painters" and toss in some cards and bases just in case a player wants to buy them.

Right and even without making it a "starter" just swap the 2 gargoyles and Azael with a couple of Molochs and you're definitely in business!

And what about a Belial reedition? mmmh?

Confrontation was an interesting game but I do not think that cmon can reanimate it by solding such a sets. How do they suppose I should collect army for game using sets like this? When this minis were cast in metal, they cost about 48-50 euros or 60 USD. Now it cast in bullshit resin of doubtful quality (pictures doesn`t show us the quality, perhaps it`s cast like Conf4 version minis), sold together and cost 76 USD !!! I can not believe that resin is more expensiv than metal or it is more difficult in use at molding and casting.

I don't think that's correct. Anyone who's ordered from CMON has probably noticed how they'll sometimes just pack certain models in bags to eliminate the clutter of blister packs for shipping. I don't see any reason for having that stupid plastic shell and fancy printed box if these are gonna be CMON mail order only. I think the real reason is so they can charge more. Running something as a special edition or in bulk like this increases sales like it did with those ridiculously overpriced Kingdom Death miniatures. I honestly can't say I'm enthused by this. Resin is far less expensive than most miniature manufacturers are letting on yet companies are charging more for it. Just look at Zenit Minis, they're very affordable and the entire line is resin. You'll have none of my money unless the price for these sets is reasonable and I get the figures I want in them.

No individual miniatures no sale, your killing the Confrontation rebirth with this greedy stunt. Good luck with that.

Legendarion, you are being discrediting. It's no "bullshit resin", quite the contrary, resin as such can be cast in far better quality, in general. Tough I think you are right, and casting resin is still less expensive than casting metal. Yet do a little homework: this one release, from which LM as a company must live for a month, will bring them 200 times 80 Dollar, which is 16.000.- and that's not much. That's hardly enough for 5 workers and taxes and whatnot. So small companies will always have to charge more, if they are not some lousy copy-company or a one-man garage show.

The other possibility would be that there are no more Conf minis awailable, so I guess I go with this. If you are a fan, it does not matter anyway, and if not, nobody can convice you to buy it. I only find it saddening that no matter what happens, people on the internet always and forcefully find something negative to troll about. I sure hope LM is not reading this comments, so the do not loose faith in what they are doing.

Actually Szab most people on the net are not the devil you know... We are JUST commenting the releases while you are calling us trolls... I read your counter arguments and they show no sense...So fan collectors don't care? Lol... Minis not available? Funny.CMON 5 employes have to live so we hate to pay it all in one product? Interesting. If all that makes any sense to you then there's little to debate.Saddens me to see once again confrontation handled so badly. Missed chance.

Navarro, I see your points. Tough you must admit, we could also talk about how beautiful this sculpts actually are. When I browse through todays top manufacturers catalogues, these are still way ahead, so I am thankful that they are available again.
As for "the Fans don't care", I meant that comparing original prices of 60dollars and these 80 dollars has not much sense. Some of these minis went off with horror prices on ebay recently, it's still cheaper.
If somebody just wants to buy these as for gaming purposes, they are probably expensive, that's true.
But then again, it's one thing to criticize the contents of a box and it's prize, and it's another to call it "bullshit resin of doubtful quality" without seeing one of these.
You also must forgive my bad english, I am not of english tongue.

Let me first say that we are all ears when it comes to Confrontation products. Afterall, it is the customers that determine the purchases. In fact, the reason why Wave 2 is delayed is because we decided to make some last minute square bases to accomodate the 3.5 players based on suggestions. So don't think that we are all decided on the path of how we are releasing these waves.

This is what I can confirm:
      * Hydra is now sold out, not surprising. There are no immediate plans to make anymore.
      * We are down to the last 31 Flesh Golems, so it is just a matter of time when they are sold out as well.
      * There is a second release for Wave 2 which is the Cyclop of Mid-nor. We are waiting for the 50mm square bases to be finished and we will put them up for sale.
      * Wave 3 will come in October consisting of 2 packs; Pack 1 - All 6 original Fiannas with Drac Mac Syro, the barbarian that you could only get with the Ragnarok box set. Pack 2 - Molochs.
      * Wave 4 will be the Titan Dragon that everyone love so much. This pattern of release will continue.

Feel free to post here or write us with suggestions and feedback, and we'll make sure Legacy Miniatures knows what the community thinks.

Hi all,I think we should see this whole subject positive, we should concentrate on the fact, that Confrontation lives again (with the help of Legacy Miniatures and CMON)! IMO Conf. was the best miniature game in his time, with the absolute best model line. And now we have a chance to buy old and new models in better quality (I bought the hydra and the flesh golem, the resin quality is perfect) with rules, etc.Yeah, the price is not cheap, but try buying a moloch or mid-nor cyclops on ebay. I guarantee you it will be much expensive then these resin casts, IF you can find one...OK, this box is not full with the best acheronian models, but all the pieces are nice (except of the Gorgon, sorry borg). For collectors, I think is a must have. And for the future releases, woaw!!!And for borg: I love to see some new, unreleased models (dirz dragon, behemoth titan, cadwallon miniatures) and some old, newly sculpted models (black paladins, ashigarus, drone horned raiders, familiars, mid-nor ephorath colony, these calibers). And thanks again!

Good to hear on the next waves. The cyclops is a flat out awesome sculpt, and hard to find. Molochs are another gem, and of course the titan dragon will put a dent in some wallets. Only one I'd rate as moderately iffy is the fiannas, but boobs always sell.I understand the business decision of selling multi-packs, particularly given resin's start up costs. If selling them all single isnt an option, perhaps try a few smaller boxed sets, and include a rare/limited figure with the more common ones. So you'd have Moloch A and Ejhin, and Moloch B Azael and the Gorgon. Or something like that. As far as future releases, I'd suggest any of the following as solid sellers from various factions: Alchemists: Centurus clones, Daysatis clones, Keratis warriors box set, Nefarius clone, Skorize warriorsCadwallon: Cadwallon militia, Dwarf jailor, Iraeme, Isabeau, Kassallis, Noble (Duke of Cadwallon), Souffre Toile, Viress Daikinee: daikinee archers, irul, mandigorn warriors, scarab warriorsMid-nor: demon tower, hydra warriors, mid-nor clanObviously any of the unreleased stuff would rank high.Just my input. Best of luck!

Borg we appreciate that you are open to suggestions.Drac Mac Syrö cost too much and is good for high point games. Not exactly a guy that should be released now. Wouldn't it make more sense to have Fianna Musician, or Fianna, Special Edition or Fianna Totem Bearer or Gwenlaen the Ever-Proud instead with the other Fiannas? You guys should take a step back and consult the players more, try to balance the release of the packs that actually make sense game wise. Pick some sculpts that have synergy with each other. There has to be a happy medium between art/collecting and the game.

Hy all, Borg this is way too cool. Never had this before, not even in the times of jean Bey, that somebody actually listened to what fans had to say Based on Ebay prices, personal favourites and talks with other players, and even keeping the game in mind which we actively play, i'd say that the basic boxes, troops and warstaffs are really amiss. If there would be some troop boxes, one could start convincing new players again. I personally would really like the smaller dragon as well. The nepharius Clone. A 5-pack Dirz set with bipsists, technomancers, etc., the cool stuff. I agree with baboon Tycoon with everything else Szab

It must be hard to try to run a business. Because, apparently, no matter what you do, there will always be some that aren't content with it. Regarding miniatures, I'd say we can generally put the customers into one of two categories. Either you are a collector and or/painter, or you are a gamer. If you try to please one category, the other will moan and vice versa. And if you try to please both and try to release something that unify both categories people will still moan about it.

So, what would be best to do as a business? Obviously to please the large masses over the few. But what category spend most money into a range of miniatures? Is it the gamers or the collectors/painters? I, myself, belonging to the collector/painter category, have around 250 different blisters from Confrontation, and I am by no means whatsoever an above average collector, I am sure. How many blisters would a gamer be getting? Most likely fewer, but on the other hand, will there be more gamers than collecters in total to make up for this gap? Hard to say.

So wouldnt the best way be to actually please both categories? Release packs that make sense with one or two miniatures that do not make sense in that pack? That way the gamers could pick up the majority of what they want, and the collectors would be able to get more stuff that they actually could consider getting while also getting the ones that they must have. Surely this is a win-win situation! But is it?

The way the economy is currently, people are more careful with what they spend their money on. If they aren't satisfied to, at least 90%, I figure that they are less inclined to actually spend their money. The per centage, is of course different depending on what category you belong to. For gamers, I'd say that they want to have a much higher per centage of satisfaction than what collectors would want to have. If there is one miniature they must have, then they generally don't care if they also, in the same time, are getting two or three that they don't crave.

The bottom line is, I'd say, is that there is no perfect way to do sales. Either way you go, you will make some people satisfied and some wont be. If you try to go in the middle, neither side will be completely satisfied. Regardless of how you do it, it appears that a company will lose sales no matter how they do it. I guess it all comes down to is how to displease the ones spending the most totally.

Just my 2 cents worth of thought.
