• Nurgle Slime

Since I started a Nurgle chaos army a little while back, I have come up with many ways of creating little Nurglesque details. One way I’ve found very effective is the ‘ol super glue, white glue trick for making gross-looking slime (hee hee that was a Homeric Epithet). The tools and materials you will need:1) Super glue. Any kind is fine, I'm using GW glue. 2) Wood glue. Many people have probably done this technique with white glue but I find that wood glue works better.3) The thing that you will produce the effect on be it creature or vehicle. I'm using a normal base as a demonstration. (I suppose you could use the technique to make a base too...)4) A toothpick.
First, squeeze a drop of wood glue on the base.
Then spread the wood glue around with a toothpick. After you have spread the wood glue evenly across the base, pour some super glue on top (not to much!) In less than a minute it should look something like this:After it has dried sufficiently, prime it with, I suggest, black primer and paint it. Here is the finished product:I painted it with a mixture of Tamiya, Games Workshop, and Games Workshop foundation paints. Here is an example of where I used this technique somewhere else. On a land raider:I hope you will be able to use this article! Thanks for reading it.

the pics suck. but it looks great on the second example. you should try and get better pics and update the article. tbh it looks better unpainted, the transparency really make it look like phlegm!

yes everyone i know the pictures suck. (they are cut from larger pictures i took) you are right freakinacage it does look better unpainted but if you are going to a painting competition or something, the judges wouldn't like that.

Pics could be better, but it's the idea that counts. Haven't heard of it before so thx and I guess I'll give it a try. Could also be a great effect for Tyranid bases (or any organic stuff)!

I think I'm going to be sick. That looks wretched-Its PERFECT!!

The pics are fine. I don't need focus on smearing glue, and the result pics are clear enough to make me ill.

A box workstation for painting: design process and bodging carpentry

A box workstation for painting: design process and bodging carpentry

This is an article about what I did, in the hope that some of it may be useful to you, but it's not an article meant to tell you what to do. It's meant as an encouragement for you to think logically about problem solving, and to think sensibly through a project to end up with something that serves your needs well, but has not cost you a fortune in money or time. The aim is to get the job done, and then get back to your painting and gaming. The project here is to build a box for paints and equipment, but most of its principles will be equally applicable to any other project in wood, such as gaming tables and scenery.

Throughout the article I'll use the format of picture first, followed... read more

    First Article- Simple Basing

So I was working on the base for my trollblood guy and I though I might as well take advantage of this opportunity to bring you guys our first article on basing. I was going for a pretty simple base with a bit of a marshy feel. So lets get to the fun stuff! Ok so to start off I made a mass of milliput in the rough shape of a rock. At this point you can't really make it look... read more
