Blog system changes

We are going to move the old Blog system into the Vbulletin backend that we use for the main site, the reasons being:

1. General insecurity and age
2. Lack of features
3. Spam control of comments etc

While it won't be as customizable in terms of look, it will benefit from having much tighter integration with your user profiles and ease of user comments to your blog posts, as well as using a file upload / management system that is more robust and familiar to most.

The old system will remain available at oldblog.coolminiornot.com until the end of February, after which it will be switched off. Your old blog urls will redirect to your new blogs, i.e.
oldblog.coolminiornot.com/Chern+Ann will go to my old blog, blog.coolminiornot.com/Chern+Ann will go to the new one (after the migration).

The planned migration for this will be on Thursday. All your old posts will be moved to the new system, but due to incompatibility stuff like My Links, My Music and My Books will not. If you have any questions please let me know. After the migration, if you have any info in these areas you should log into the old blog system and retrieve that data before 29th February.
