Do you ever check under your bed at night?
Something, somewhere - hiding out of sight.
In your cupboards, under your bed,
Ghosts 'n' Goblins inside your head.

Don't worry yourself tonight,
Say your prayers and everything will be alright,
Snuggle up, sleep tight,
Don't let the darkness bite,
Don't let the chime of the midnight strike give fright,
It's that magic time tonight.

From a light under your bed,
Come the beings from inside your head,
Whispering softly, slowly they creep,
Into your world while you sleep,
Faeries are no faerietale,
Steal your child from the warmth of it's cradle,
Snatched away,
Forever in the faerie world to stay.

When you check under your bed tonight,
Be sure to take a good look everwhere,
Look inside the closet, look there,
Don't be frightened of what you may find,
Ghosts 'n' Goblins are just inside your mind.

Using 28MM from head to toe, I estimated the door should be 6/10 of an inch wide and 1 1/2 tall. This is an inch wide and 1 1/2 tall. Each joint is reinforced with a bit of floral wire and that also makes the hinge.

I will try a taller door (1 3/4) and I think I will use Popular for the base. The Balsa wood is not sturdy enough.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Hi all,

I am on the verge of starting a new little project. With a couple of friends we do a mini exchanges once in a while. And we like to challenge eachother. This time I picked an Isabella von Carstein model...a really old model that is (see below)!

While I was cleaning and such, I was pondering what to make of it. Not only the model itself - fantastic flowing robes and all - but also I am able to do a small display base underneath. But unfortunately, my head is cramped at the moment of studies, so I am seriously lacking inspiration.
Help me out, if you please? Send me your ideas, inspirations, yur previous work, whatever, so that I might make a cool blog post thingy here. Would love that!

Thanks in advance!

Back to the rut (office).
I've been out all of last week.

My daughter and her boyfriend graduated college on the 6th.
Then we packed up their stuff and moved them to their new city and new jobs.
I'm so proud of her I could bust, but moving her half way across the country almost broke my heart.

I would have loved to stay the week and explore her new city with her, but... (It seems there's always a "but" in my life).

I had a very dear friend (We were roomies in college, I was in his wedding, he was in my wedding, he's my daughter's god father, etc.) that went into hospice as he could no longer stand the pain of his cancer.
He had spinal cancer and lost most of his kidneys. The dialysis filtered out the pain drugs and left him in un-endurable pain three times a week.

We were there in time to see him shed his pain for good. We'll miss the memorial service and wake at the game shop this weekend.

Then back to home. BBQ in Memphis for my wife's Mother's day lunch.

Sorry for the downer, but I feel like a menopausal woman on a hormonal rollercoaster and just had to unload.
