Shadow Steed: based on WoW's Death Knights

by Witchwater on 09-16-2009 at 03:04 AM
Thought I’d disappeared, did you? Well....I did. But I’m back!  With pictures! As you may or may not know, I am part of a D&D group.  One of my friend's characters is able to summon a Shadow Steed.  It's supposed to have all the color sucked out of it -- it's essentially a horse made only of shadow.  I paint minis, so he asked me to pick up a figurine for his Shadow Steed.  Although it's supposed to be all

Less WoW, more painting!

by Witchwater on 04-12-2009 at 03:42 PM
So I've finally decided to free myself - at least in part! - from the timesink that is World of Warcraft. Oh, I'm still on there at night, but only after I've spent a good part of the night writing or drawing or painting. Move my actual passions and crafts forward, move WoW back. by Witchwater on 10-03-2008 at 02:17 AM
Whew.  Been some time.
I am pleased to say, though, that I have finally finished my Carnivean!  He’s actually been done for about a week now, but I haven’t had much time to stick him in my light cube and photograph him. My photography skills are still lacking, I fear.  But the photo quality is improved all the same!  Yay light cube!
So with this ultra-cool light cube, there are two colored backgrounds; one is white, the other blue.  I was

The Carnivean Continues!

by Witchwater on 08-19-2008 at 01:35 AM
A’right!  Time for the next in the series of Carnivean: The Adventure! So, my friend wants the Carnivean to be colored, essentially, the way you see him on the box.  So that makes his skin white, white, WHITE.  Not Pale Elf Flesh. WHITE.  I even read up on how Privateer Press paints their Carniveans: They use pure white for the skin and then shade with an ice blue.  Now, I’ve painted an albino before, but this would be quite different.  First, there was
