Had a look through your work. I love how vibrant your painting style is. Your models really pop. Great stuff.
Welcome back, look forward to seeing this complete.
Question: Where did you get this model?
That's looking superb.
Man, this project is insane. In a good way of course!
Can't wait to see the finished article.
Hi folks! Thanks to a session of really strong antibiotics and rest I'm back. Unfortunately I still have a colonoscopy to look forward to...yay! lol.
That being said thanks all for the kind words...
Thanks, mate!
Unfortunately I'm going to be out of action for a while having picked up diverticulitis. Physically drained and in no mood to paint. On the plus side my blood tests revealed I have...
Love it, there's so much going.
The contrast blue I ordered from GW was just the ticket. Now to pick the highlights out again before moving on.

I'll give it some thought.
Welcome! Good start. Agree with Gorb, that's a cool model.
Damn those flesh tones are superb.
Awesome Dredd bust!
So the mammoth task has begun! Unfortunately lockdown has stopped me from visiting my local Games Workshop due to all non-essential shops being closed so I'm waiting on a few colours, in particular a...
I did use some green stuff, particularly around the wings as gaps were quite obvious. I also pinned him to his base. Guess I'm old school. :)
Oh yeah I like that, suitable disgusting! Great job, bud!
They're awesome. Really look like they've been to the guts of war and back.
My current project is for a friend. Demon Lord of Tzeentch. God damn it's a big figure! However, was pleasantly surprised at how little filling it needed as it fits together extremely well. A far cry...
Wow, that's amazing!
It's almost like it's gone from factory line to war hardened veteran!
Cracking stuff, gorb!
Thanks, buddy! I must admit, after such a long break I do feel that things are beginning to fall into place again. Always room for improvement, such is the hobby, but yeah, feeling good about my mini...
That was tough, but very enjoyable.
Thanks for all the encouragement folks!
Thousand Sons Chaos Marine with Warp Flamer. "Death to the False Emperor!"

Excellent work on both Horus and Magnus.
You're welcome and another fine sculpt in progress.
I have green stuff, but am unfamiliar with Fimo. Is it easier to work with?
Excellent as always.
It's not too bad, but it has its moments! I've managed to paint a bit more this evening and even though I'm working this weekend I'll get some more done. That being said I've 8 days off beginning 2nd...
The black orcs are really cool. Love the finish on the armour.
Thanks, gorb. Between work at the hospital and Christmas I've been too busy to do any painting. Hopefully I can get back to it soon!
Granted not done much since my last update, been a bit busy (and yes I'm still using a dry palette for the time being). Got some free time this evening so hopefully should get a lot more done.
...
Thanks very much, Kal! :)
A little more work on the Marine this evening. A ways to go though. Those stripes on the helmet crest will be a nice bright yellow eventually and of course I've to highlight the eyes. As you can see...
Thanks. My dad liked it, it's now sat on his shelf in his study next to a Bilbo Baggins I painted for him many years ago. (He's a bit of a LOTR fan)
Now to fix the Warp Flamer

Your faces are getting some real character into them now.
It's a classic to be sure. I highly recommend Attack on Titan, but be warned as beautiful as it is animated and as well at it is told it's a hard watch.
Saint is right, bonkers! Brilliant stuff. How tempting is it to paint an "S" on that cape? lol
Loving the Nurgle, as always. Awesome Conan figure too.
You've been busy. Looking good.
Spent a small fortune in GW today on paints and figures. Have a few projects on the go including this Thousand Sons marine. I bought the box set as I thought they looked ace. Will paint this one...
That's great! So much cool stuff going on.

Yeah these are great. The colours are really vibrant.
Getting there.

lol
Thanks for the compliments.
Mate, those look cracking! The pigs beady eyes are really sinister!
That's great. Great colours
Yep that's pretty awesome.
Loving the photos showing each stage as you progress. I've no doubt your friend will certainly be buying you a few beers!
Very impressive.
I've sculpted extras on minis in the past to good effect, (extra cloaks, odds and sods etc), but never a fully formed mini myself. Find it quite intimidating if I'm honest.
I will give it a try. :)
Always have, just what I'm used to.
Top drawer stuff
Looks really cool. Can't wait to see you put a brush to it.
Glad to be home from work. Now my week off begins so time to get painting! I've all kinds of wacky ideas for this bard bouncing around in my head, starting with the black & white streaks in her pink...
Very nice. I particularly like the finish of the bone bugle/horn.
That's very good considering you're new to the hobby. You've definitely an aptitude for it, just don't be lazy like me, (I should be a lot better considering the time I've been dabbling in mini...
Fantastic!
Very cool!
Two new projects on the go. Gandalf the White and a foxy looking Bard.

Excellent work. The jump from your first pic (2019) to now is very noticeable. Lovely blending and highlighting.
I do like those haunts, may have to pick a few up myself. :)
Amazing work. The battle damage is superb.
Thanks.
Not really happy with the sword. Was trying to achieve a kind of stone/ice effect but didn't quite pull it off. Lessons learned.

Looking great!
Thanks, folks!
Been a bit tied up and my children will be coming over shortly so it's burger, fries and a game of Talisman. :)
Will have him finished this evening. I'm on annual leave all next...
Bit more done this morning. Just weapons, gear and backpack to go. Unfortunately have to go to work now.
81185
Yep, that's really coming together.
Your style looks like oil paintings. Love it!
Looking really good
Cheers
My new brushes arrived a day late, (understandable given the current situation), so will crack on this evening after work
I shall be avoiding large areas of yellow after this one! lol
Cheers, though.
I really like this one. Great dynamics. That being said, if she gets tackled "those" will fall out! lol
I gotta be mad painting a yellow space marine! :silly:
*edit* Cleaned up the highlights on the main armour just a touch this evening on my return home from work, (comparison pic below). But it's...
Excellent throughout.
Bit more work on the marine. It's not a great cast, nevertheless it's heading in the right direction for what I'm aiming. Found a load of my Citadel paints from the late 80's early 90's. Was amazed...
Thanks very much! Yeah I always liked the skeleton regiment. The idea behind it was the dead would rise as the reaper moved across the graveyard. It was sat in a Games Workshop cab at the the local...
Gobbos look great, love the banner.
Boar boy is excellent too.
You've got some real talent. :)
New project. The finished article will be an Imperial Fist.

Nurgle are always fun to paint. Nice work!
Thanks, Dex! UK is currently in lockdown so our long established, but excellent model shop is currently closed and while I could do an Amazon search I'd much rather support a local business and...
What are you using for the water effect? I'll be honest it's not something I've attempted before.
They look great.
Thanks, really appreciate it. As per though there's always elements I'm not entirely happy with, but improvements to made with each new mini. Now to pick something else to paint!
And I've just...
That really pops. Great stuff.
So he's finished. Phew!

Excellent!
Excellent work. You've a very unique style that really jumps out.
I love the old GW models, (harken back to my time working for the company).
Thanks for sharing the rust tips!
Those goblins look like right nasty, annoying little sh*ts! (as they should be!)
That's brilliant, the base really sets it all off.
Looking good. I look forward to the finished piece. I've never painted a bust myself, but I'm tempted to give it a try.
That's truly astounding! Amazing work.
Thanks. As it's my day off work I'm up nice and early so I can get stuff done and not waste my day, so I'll have him finished today and will start on a new project. :)
Cheers. I'll be adding 'just a few' to my pictures in due course
Almost there. Shield, base and picking out that weapon handle to go. I'm quite pleased how it's gone being as it's my first full mini in a couple of years.
81079
The decals really finishes the whole thing off. Brilliant stuff.
Thanks! I will admit, since having to start wearing reading glasses (damn old age!), it has been extra challenging.
A little more progress on the Stormcast this evening...
81050
Flipped back a page or two to see this army everyone was praising. Yes very nice indeed!
Cheers very much!
(Uploading the pics at work, didn't realise until I got home they were huge! Now edited)
That bust is marvellous
So having just returned to mini painting/modeling I'm starting to get into the swing of things. That being said I now have to wear reading glasses so that has required some adjustment.
I finished...
It continually says "waiting". What am I doing wrong?
*edit* My bad. Got it now. /facepalm
Absolutely lovely work throughout.
Hi,
I had an account here many years ago under the name Daddybrown73, but for the life of me I cannot remember the email so can't reset the password. Never mind.
Hello all!
So after a...
