Impressive work. Looks gorgeous once painted!
Thanks guys
And happy holidays to all of you!
I'm looking forward to see the color scheme you'll choose for this giant squig.
I take some serious brush skill to manage to paint so smooth. I'm impressed.
Hi and welcome.
Nice mini indeed.
I would add mat varnish on the brick parts, apart that, it looks really cool.
Thanks Kallfa.
The frozen effect from greenstuffworld is really nice I must say.

That's exactly the effect I was after on my previous ice/fire diorama.
I...
The emperor may be pride of you my child. That one hell of a landraider you have here!
Thank you friends, your nice words are much appreciated.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 is out (which I'm enjoying on PC : not too buggy here), I managed to add some vegetation to the base.
Next step...
Round 2.

Pretty amazing group of miniatures. Well done.
Perfect man! Just perfect.
Another excellent black orc. Great job.
Interesting. I'm looking forward to see more of it.
It's sad, but I can totally relate to the feeling.
Just put it away for now and start a new project, maybe, at some point, you will find a purpose to it or some new inspiration.
You can always, if...
O.M.F.G. I didn't know you could do this with milliput. Wow. respect.
I knew it.
I though about it, I had decided to take my time to avoid having the issue again, and yet... I got excited about painting and burnt some steps...
The result was some major gapes...
Thanks people.
@gorb: I always had trouble picturing drawfs living in a desert environement.
Sure they travel, but I always imagine them in a rocky montain area.
Maybe because of the heavy...
I never stop to be amazed by your kitbashing skills.
This is coming along quite nicely. The addition of color surely is an improvement.
I can smell the pestilence from here. "Nice" little army.
So, after some minor refinements and the addition of textures, I primed the base in black, and it turns out better than I would thought.

I saw the dio on instagram. So damn good.
Nice start. Already so expressive.
You have you own unique style, and it improve with each new sculpt. Well done.
Small update.
I made some adjustments on the base... cutting some parts to make place for the resculpt of the rocky side.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I actually had an idea of the way to go right after posting the pictures. Always share your work, it's important!
You have mastered the nurgle style my friend. I second Fuentes.
I didn't meant it as a critic. The ork is perfectly fine. And the dark background suits him.
The gobelin is also fantastic as always.
Your testsuo ork have a feeling of dark batman too with just the back primer on it.
I'm looking forward to see how it'll goes with the colors. Great job.
Looks good man. Really dark, but good.
Thanks guys.
Didn't done so much last weeks, I guess I was just too tired by work...
For the base, my constraints are basically the same as for Thinkerbell as it will be displayed under a dome...
impressive work.
I can almost hear them! THey look fantastic.
Agree, the eyes looks really good now. Great job.
It's a 54mm mini (from this KS : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/antonioooh/the-lands-of-arran-elves-and-dwarves-ks-exclusive/description)
Those armors looks nice.
And great start on the snail.
Thank you guys.

Great start so far. You really start to become an awesome sculptor too.
Thanks for the ideas guys.
Unfortunately I can't really break the trunk due to how it's built in the interior. If I touch it, the whole base won't stand I'm afraid...
My original idea was to...
Nice little squad. Great job.
I love how you manage to make them look so malicious. Really good job!
You're welcome.

This is gonna be an epic piece to say the least.
Have you made any progress on the base too ?
That looks like a nice idea.
My god! each update blow my mind a little more. Bravo mister, you're a true artist.
It's funny, if you had shown be the arm alone, I would never guessed it's belong to this bust.... more to an ork of something like that.
I use Pebeo Crystal resin with a drop of diluted acrylic paint to teint it.
And for the surface I use Liquitex gloss gel (apply with a wood stick once the resin is dry).
At first it really...
Just add a flag bearer and the unit will be complete. Nice job.
Thanks guys, really appreciate your feedbacks.

This bust is really cool. Great work.
Thank you guys for all your kind words.
The resin have been poured, this turned out pretty well, minus a little scealing issue... But nothing too bad.
The gel isn't curred yet on the photo (and...
Definitively a stargate to an ork world ;) Great work.

Nice collection of little green guys. Really clean painting.
Really nice textures. I love it!

Agree with @gorb, looks fantastic.
How much of the interior do you plane to build? Just the cockpit or other areas?
That's the plan but I would like the trunk/branch to not look too alone on the ground, so maybe I'll add some twigs or small trunks too or something in the like.
Yeah, right! No pressure...
GOLD! (oups wrong site ;)).
A true masterpiece. Simply awesome work!
Lol, yeah I see what you mean.
It's kind of sad at the moment though.
Even with the model completely assembled it's feel incomplete to me.
I'm still thinking about what to add to it.
She is, at the same time sexy and disgusting. Great work.
This is coming along nicely.
Perfect.
I think the change of side was the right thing to do as it put the hover bike in perspective whithout th leg beeing in the way?
I love it!
I like the bust. One thing bothers me though. the girl looks too pristine/clean. Maybe a scar or something like this could help with that? Just my two cent.
The new eyes looks way better. great job.
Thanks guys!
@ten: Yes I use some references:
https://www.pinterest.fr/dexter0015/ref-birds/
In fact I think it miss some red on the darker parts.
Such a beast deserves its own assembly shelf for sure!
It such a massive (and exquisite) piece already, for a second I almost forgot about the two cannons that will add to the width once assembled.
Somebody have been busy...
Everything looks nice. I'm looking forward to see the final result on the maccrage terrains, looks promising.
Great job on the coat!
Really great project!
I like the last shot. it feel like an invitation to jump behind her and go for a ride in the distance background.
Also I'm agree with @Kuriboo, one or two small grass...
Shame on you for reminding me I have all this beautiful miniatures on my shelves, looking at me with a sad look, desperate to be painted...
On a more serious note: great start on the oni.
Thank for the explaination! (makes total sense)
That metal mmmmmhhhh... so nice!
I know you mainly paint in TMM, but did you ever try (or consider it) to paint metal in NMM?
Thanks!
I really like this model and I'll try my best to not screw it (no pressure).
Here is some progress on the bird:

Nice conversion!
Agree on the flag though.
Maybe replace it by a pole a little more on the right, based on the ground, like if he is trying to get his arm around it if you know what I mean.
Saw it on instagram, I love the dark and sad mood of it.
Amazing work!
Thank you guys.
No you're right @graishak. I was hoping to achieve an ice effect that mix shinny and mat at the same time (frosty), but altough I made a lot of attempts, I didn't manage to produce...
You really making justice to the sculpt here. Great work.
Your productivity always amaze me ! The mausoleum looks really great. well done.
My my gorb, the background really blend smoothly with the rest. You truly transport us with you in your world on this one.

The biker girl looks nice too.
Welcome to the forums.
I like the smurf, and LOVE the bust. Already sooo expressive. Well done!
THAT looks like a solid plan for the colors. I can almost pictured it in my mind.
I'm lookinjg forward to see it.
I'm not sure about the light behind the alin though, it would cast to shadow...
Great OSL. Is it inspired by the last scene?
Ok, so based on the photo from Poltergeist, I would approach things like so:
1 - Do not paint all the model with the same color:
If you look closely the undeads on the pictures, the in...
100% agree with @gorb.
Nice update on the cemetery!
Oh boy!
This is unbelievably good. :claply: Well done.
Did you set your mind on a color scheme yet for the hive parts?
Nice collection of minis. And the new one in the making looks already fantastic.
This is progressing pretty nicely. Your NMM looks better and better every time.
I'm starting to learn it myself and struggler way more than you apparently.
Beautifully sad.
@ekipage: not problem, feel free to.

Love this one, the pose is really dynamic.

Ah ah, so true.
The sculpt is fantastic and the diorama is taking shape nicely.
The marine as absolutely no idea that's coming for him. Brilliant.
disgustingly good. Well done!
This is a tough question ...
I'm not really objective here because I tend to build larger and larger bases (who said dioramas?) For not some many minis so ...
And I have some ideas fro future...
Thanks guys!
The base progress nicely.
I added a second layer of moss, a little thicker and greener, and some vegetations to add some variety.
Nice nice nice. Great job!

This new sculpt is niiiiiice. and yes, it works!
Welcome to the forums!
Nice chaplin, great work on it.

Thanks guys, really appriciate.
@gorb: Yeah I totally saw what you mean. Though the current setup would require to add a lot o bushes to keep the character well hidden under it. Who knows, it...
Love the dio with the rover, really inspiring.
The idea of building a complete setting just to create masks for the first pass on lights is brilliant.
I will definitively still it ;).
Really nice army. I especially like the yellow one.
Fantastic one! The texture on the scarf is really something.
Just put them on the table. Instant -10 on moral of every enemy troop in their line of view.
I tend to rely on traditional art and composition rules when I'm thinking how I'm gonna set the scene (2/3 rule or things like that).
The masses is also, indeed, an excellent way of balancing...
This new dio looks really promising. You have my attention.
Short anser:
YES!
Long answer:
Well, that's funny you mention it because I had a reflexion about that not so far ago. I though to myself that as much as I can, I would try to make my dioramas...
Wow! The fairy king is a beast. I'm looking forward to see more of it.
And I'm really excited to see how the centaur's mini will fit on the base, looks like it's a really good match.
Thanks guys!
Indeed! I plan to add as much details as I can (mushrooms, plants, snails, maybe small birds, ...).
The second pass ont he tree is done, and the base is ready for the paint...
Welcome to the hobby and the forum.
Well, if it's that you produce for a first try, I looking forward to see how good you will progress in a couple of months.
Really nice work!
First pass on the roots.
I'll try to add smaller ones if I can to create a real dense root structure.

Some progress on the fallen tree.
The first pass on the base is done.
Now I'll add some more roots and details to the trunc sculpt.
Agree. Violet was indeed the right choice. Love the result.
Agreed with you about the gold a little too yellow, but nmm isn't easy and you already did a great job.
Maybe you can desaturate it with some light green glazes?
Like the kitty, Great job.
Welcome. The diorama looks promizing. Looking forward to see more of it.
Nice collection. I especially like the last bust ;)
Oh boy. Soooo smooth.

You start to become really good at sculpting. Really interesting model.
I'm so sick of all thoses pristine ultramarine marines that swarm on the internet.
THAT is a true space marine that have definitively fight some battles. A true warrior of the grimdark 41...
I'm just hoping it won't be damaged during the travel...
Turns out blending with airbrush is mush harder to achieve then I anticipated.
I mainly made the right arm, but lost some contrast...
Welcome to the forum Fligg (I'm not late, I'm not late...).
GREAT work on this mini, really digg the grim-dark look.
The highlights you added in the last update are a real plus.

I second Graishak. I'm totally unable of painting something like that. Mind blown.
THe golbin king is really really nice. Great job!

Seeing this is painful, but hopefully "we learn from our mistakes" (at least it's something I guess).
Wow, cool!
Ah ah, a good investment! Imagine, I bought the big one myself (the one that looks like a spice container)... I have so much of it I don't think I will run out of it ever ;)

I would go with glazes too.
I find it easier to exaggerate the highlights, then glaze back to the shadows by using darker glazes each time I reduce the area to glaze.
