I like that one but I think the face looks a bit dull compared to the bright red clothes. A yellow or orange glaze on it could improve the mini I reckon.

I like that one but I think the face looks a bit dull compared to the bright red clothes. A yellow or orange glaze on it could improve the mini I reckon.
One of the most original thing I've ever seen. That's really amazing, as for the sculpting than for the painting.
Perfect.
I like the tones of your green. You're doing well with your red.
That's really something good. The skinstone is very original and much better than GW's.
Yet, I think you should paint the fur in a brighter colour as the mini looks too dark.
This red is bloody good! I can't wait to see this mini finished.
Quite an amount of work there. I don't really like the sculpt even though it shows great sculpting skills.
The painting, conversely, is really amazing. Your freehands are some of the best in the...
I'll show something when I have back my painting motivation, I'll try to show something good. French GD is on may 22nd, wanna come :D?
Yeah French GD is really pleasant as many good painters...
The rust is too orange compared to the other colours of the vehicle. It is very beautiful but it looks a bit unrealistic.
Anyway great job.
I prefer the upper one, the other looks too massive.
I'm really good. I haven't planned to enter anything, I don't even know if I'm going. I haven't painted anything for two months and only started painting again yesterday so maybe I'll show something...
Nice looking witch. It really looks small.
The blue skin looks surnatural, nice work.
That's really nice for a first attempt at sculpting. For me, only his legs look a bit thin compared to the rest of his body.
It is called Sandy.
The colour of the skin is so strange but it rocks!
The lotr are really nice, you know how to paint a good looking orange.
The base of the guy with a chainsaw lacks something, maybe a flower could contrast well with the skulls and the guy.
This beak is very realistic, nice job.
Simple but great guy, nice idea there.
At the beginning, the two guys with extraterrestrials helmets are Daft Punk.
Nice guy, starting good. The nails are really horrible.
Edgar Skomorowski, Jes Goodwin, Joaquin Palacios.
Football (soccer), tennis, surf.
And a little bodyboard game: http://www.youriding.com/bodyboard
Lighting glow around the blue would look really good, it would add colour to the whole thing.
They're cool but the white highlight of your silver NMM aren't blended as well as for gold. But the freehand on the shield of the first guy is quite impressive.
Not so good pics but that mini looks great, I especially like what you did with the NMM
That looks nice but the guys are pretty small on these, try to make them bigger, especially for Yarrick.
I agree with Skelly, you definitely need better pictures.
http://cgi.befr.ebay.be/Figurine-de-concours-Russian-Vityaz-soldier-soldat-/170546363022
Enjoy :)
The metals look a bit flat, you could apply a green wash on them and the highlight them with mithril silver.
Perfect little tank, I love it.
That must have been laborious, thanks for the tip.
Big and weathered, what else?
I really dig your oks and their vehicles/various machines, they're definitely so cool.
That really looks good, I love you the way you did the tiles.
I also got it, using IE.
I think bigger pictures could be good to judge as the stole is quite small.
I'd pay as I have a bad camera and awful photography skills but it wouldn't have to be something like 30£ the photo.
That's bloody amazing. You're very imaginative.
That mini is nice but I think the base could be a bit darker to give a contrast, it looks a bit too simple for me like this.
These minis are really nice and can be fun as a new start in painting.
I may come this time, this show is really something good.
That storm really looks good but I think you could make it look a bit more dynamic just by tilting it a little to the left when you look at it from front.
Congrats on the release. Nice painting there too.
You're crazy, I only have 51 bottles.
French aren't bad, you shouldn't be as sure you'll win.
That duel is simply mindblowing. The painting is incredible. The idea of the fist is really good.
Just with Tallarn Flesh it's gonna be pretty hard, buy Elf Flesh and Dwarf Flesh. Browns are also very good to shade skins.
Nice way to build a jetpack, it's gonna be a heavy marine.
I really like the sculpt and your paint job is very good.
Painting miniatures is something completely different and more original than drawing, many people draw, you even learn it at school, a lot fewer paint minis. It covers many aspects of art so you can...
The textures are outstanding. Amazing work there.
It is nicely painted but I think it needs a contrasting colour on it to make it pop. You could change the fur's colour, paint it brighter.
I like the way you painted the blood, the effect you...
I think the face is pretty cool, I really like its colour and the blending on it. It really looks good to me.
That looks like basic tabletop to me. I see that the blending between shadows and highlights isn't very smooth so that's the first thing you could improve, Foundation paints are quite thick so you...
Flesh colours are nice to highlight black in an other way than just applying grey. It can give some good results.
I think you highlighted it enough but you could shade it a lot more.
Painting black can be hard but it's good if you try to paint it and it looks nice so far. I just think that only the deepest shades should be painted with the black of the basecoat, that you...
Nice one, I like your nmm, it perfectly fits the mini.
That's definitely old school, I like that guy.
That's nice for 14hours painting, I like the flames' freehand.
I think it's anormal boltgun metal base, then Bestial Brown wash, glaze of Scorched Brown, thin wash of Bestial Brown and Glaze of Snakebite leather. That's my personal interpretation of it so it is...
Very pale skintone for an ogre.
Very small figures and decent paintjob on them. I like the comparison with Moby Dick.
Nice, big base in Jarhead's style. Though I think you could a bighter colour to 'underline' the battle damages so as to make them more real.
17cm, that must have been so long to paint.
That's some nice freehand, do you have any close-ups?
I like the different kind of leathers, must be interesting to paint.
That's a very very cool ork vehicle.
The dio looks cool, love the little girl hidden behind the wall. How will you paint that big machine?
Outstanding. The freehand and the nmm are fantastic.
I also painted this guy quite a long time ago and it's been quite hard to paint those eyes but if you really can't do it you could let them in a darker colour and it will still be good.
The first thing I see is that this mini misses contrast, especially for the coat. The stripes could also be a bit brighter. But overall this is nice.
Nice. Love the squig.
Uk results aren't posted on the German site, it's just that you didn't change the language at the bottom right corner, if you put it in Finnish the results will be on the Finnish site.
And Italy's...
That's definitely awesome.
Therea are many tributes to him all around the world: http://www.aspworldtour.com/
1 month since the last update, you're slacking!
He died yesterday, probably because of Dengue Fever, he was 32 :(.
Here's the second: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_TZREzgDbpoA/TLstTresd9I/AAAAAAAAA6k/UgCtCbz2dLI/s1024/146.JPG. From Sascha Buczek (goatman).
Really good work Taggi, 9 is pretty fair. Left you a comment.
That's pretty good Taggi. What do you paln for the head, helmet or normal head?
Other orks from you, that's a good thing.
Original idea, better than the usual monster bottle.
That's a nice little sculpt Valentin. The falling eye is pretty horrible.
Yeah the armour is beautiful, really good purple.
The flats are amazing, great painting.
That is a huge guy! How can you sculpt something as big, it's just crazy.
If you want to paint nmm you can but I think normal metal could be better cause steel nmm would be too close to the colour of the skin in the end.
Simple tutorial but useful.
When will you take pics of your Baltimore GD entries, they were amazing.
I like that one, very cool cartoony style. The base is awesome.
You're a pumpkin artist!
Without OSL, I think a brown-ish yellow (and not a sunflower yellow) could be better than green.
Paint minis you like and check the minis on that website, it'll give you inspiration for sure. And as Skelly said you have to practise.
I think a light grey mask could be good, with red tubes and green glowing eyes with an OSL all around them to help focusing on the mask especially with the kind of armour you're painting.
Even though brass isn't as bright as gold, it is still a metal so it has to shine, you could paint fewer white dots than for a gold nmm.
Your nmm doesn't look like metal. You need paint more white dots and to paint more half tones to give the illusion of real metal, all that mainly for gold.
That colours rock. The freehand is also pretty cool. Keep up the good work.
Is it this one: http://coolminiornot.com/211509
It seems like, recently, you only painted nmm, you could give a try at painting with real metallic colours once your Sanguinor is finished.
That eldar starts really good. Do you have bigger pics of the dark elf because these are so small so it's hard to see.
Check on the sticky thread: http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showthread.php?34306-The-Sticky-Thread-Links-to-Tips-Threads-Tutorials. There are 10 tutorials about painting metals.
That's nice but mabe you could make the OSL more intense to add colour to the whole thing.
Really good, the colours are crazy.
Welcome here. My first impression of this mini is that the red and the white need more shades and lights. You could also work more on the metals to make them look better, especially on the steath.
That's a pretty good mini. The blending is quite nice and I really like the chessboard base.
I really don't know how you can paint an as huge mini, I get bored with every little 28mm mini I paint.
Nice but I think he'd look better on a proper background like the previous guy.
That's starting really good.
Outstanding! That's really awesome!
I clicked on "like".
It's crazy how you play with Green Stuff and how you're able to make great things with it.
You mean gold?
Unusaul commission, try to inspire from real zebras, here are some: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebra
That's a really nice guy. I just love your red.
You're really one of the new great painter. It's crazy how much you improved in a year. Congrats on the trophies.
The blending looks nice but you could improve it. I think you could also add more colours to your skin so as to make it more life-like, mainly in the shades, I think a dark blue touch could be good...
Well done on your demon Taggi, you deserve it.
Some really nice things there, I'm really eager to see proper pics of the Slayer Sword.
I agree with Skelly, the ogres were awful so it would be good if they could make better ones.
The hands look a bit small to me compared to the rest of him.
Nicely painted guys, good job on the metals.
That's another nice mini, perfectly in your style.
These three are pretty cool. Good luck today with GD.
It looks like a nice guy but the coloured part of his much too big. You should make it a bit little as it looks a bit weird like that.
Looks like you're a good sculptor. Will you paint it or just concert it?
I think this is nice tabletop. Yellow and red aren't necessarily hard to paint but you have to know how to shade and highlight them depending of the effect you want to obtain. The first thing I see...
Very simple but good mini, nice to see something miles away from shooting and running marines. I really like the frog, cool looking tongue.
That's nice for something painted as quick. The base is really strange but fits the mini pretty well. Jarhead must have been happy.
No, they change the name of the guy who answers you.
I also think of the cynic version of it, but I still think at least one of the GW guys read that mail. And that doesn't mean I'll attend GD UK.
GW reads the mails! I had sent them one about the different thoughts everyone had about their Golden Demon judgement and the things they could improve about, thinking they'd not even read it but they...
That bear is nice, I had never seen that mini before, where did you get it?
Happy birthday ;)
I'd paint that guy with dark tones, leather for his head and probably a desatured red for some of the other parts.
The light on the face is really well done, but the yellow needs much more highlights. That's for German GD?
That rocks! The cat's shadow on the wall is a very good idea.
Your Sicarius is ok but you could dilute more your paint to bend better the highlights, even for the metallic paints despite it is harder. Also shade more the recesses of the armour to make a better...
That's a good marine! Congrats for entering in Open, even though you didn't get a demon, it's one of the hardest category.
Thnak you very much both of you.
@Chrome: very good link, I really can choose something specific there.
That's a simple but nice sculpt. I like the style of it. Just the left side, especially the eye, of the face looks weird compared to the other side of the face but it might be due to the picture.
I'm more looking for some kind of tutorial about how to make it, don't really wanna buy one.
Hello all,
I'd like to build a boat that could fit well in a lotr scene and that would be enough big to place 6 minis,
I'd be really happy if you could give me a link to a tutorial about making a...
For me a very cool guy. Do you have any pics of it without paint, I'd like to see how you did the conversion.
That's insane!
Do they also give the drug to the cops?
Congrats Skelly. But isn't he a bit young to play XBOX?
The one on the 5th pic.
They're all very dynamic so that's a good point for you but one, probably jumping, seems to be falling, that's my only crit.
Matthieu Fontaine's point of view about this GD, quite fair I think: http://www.akaranseth.com/blog/10-years-back.htm
I learnt a few words, expressions and other things around here, some that I've re-used in lessons so I'd say that it really helped me understanding and practicing English.
A nice French forum for...
They're all really good. Congrats on the silvers.
These are both pretty good. I really like the duel, really impressive sculpting work there. Your Quartermaster is also cool and very well painted.
What about going to GD France, it's a good one and usually well organized.
And yeah your guy looks like a wrestler with his little red suit.
Looks nice but shading purple with Scorched Brown might give some weird results. If you want something more red-like, use dark red to shade or blue if you want it to be more blue-like.
Matt Parkes won the sword.
Really small but you did a god job with him. The face is very good.
You should go to a GD one day, I'd really like to see what you can do if you push your skills to make the your best.
Great! The idea of the mini is really good and is the painting.
You're a really really lucky guy!
Coolmin is getting more and more popular around the world. So yeah that's insane but it is right.
That's pretty awesome.
Good one. The painting's really clean and the base rocks.
You must be one if the biggest ork lovers in the world! That's mad!
Pretty nice mini. The blending is smooth and the zenithal lightning is very well done.
You're really good at painting vehicles. The DKOK is really amazing and I can't wait to see how it ends like. Do you have any pics of your giant?
The striped pants are really cool. Keep it up.
I continue, these minis are both good but I prefer the marine, it looks better than Tah'pioca, feel like there's more work in it. Congrats on the golds at mix op' and thanks for your pics of it.
I like that base, the mud puddle is good for a beastman I think. Also the last guy is very...colourful :D.
It's not too late, you can get one there: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=11500009a
Colourful guy, the red is nice but I think you could blend more the other colours.
Welcome here. Nice first attempt at sculpting and cool project. For the colour scheme, I think you could paint the snake in a dark green colour and the marine in a bright grey to give a great...
Nice looking but I don't understand the shades of the skin, why are they blue?
You're improving really really quick with nmm. That's really beautiful.
TV shows: Castle, secret story (pitiful and appalling but addictive French reality show), South Park, spongebob at my lost times.
Music: Coldplay, Linkin Park, Eminem, B.O.B, Bloc Party.
Food:...
Yeah, the marsh's a good idea, he'd look realy cool jumping on the snake just leaping out from the water. Maybe add a reed and a fish if you can.
So, as the others asid, improve the metals and highlight them up to white. I'd also suggest you to work more on the face, more highlights and try to put more colours on the face so as to make it more...
Nice looking but the top of his head is overexposed.
Love your work on all these little guys, they're great.
Nice, the skin's is cool.
That's nice for me but the blending's not perfect so you could improve it. It is too glossy, so I think it should be more matte. A 6 for me.
Really a beautiful work there Skelly. It really looks aggressive and cool. Don't know how you can work with all those painting stuffs. I'm really impatient to see how the painting process turns out.
Those three are really amazing. The dwarf miner is a very nice idea and is on a base that perfectly fits him. Your diorama is just outstanding, had already seen it in Paris but the changes you've...
Really good guy, even though I still don't understand why a wizars needs a cellphone and a grenade but it adds him a touch of originality.
That OSL is simply fantastic. Can't wait to see the finished guy.
Really good guy, amazing to have painted that in a week.
Thanks for all the pics, some minis are bloody amazing.
As funny said, very clean. The tatoo is really impressive.
I think re-working it would be the best, painting a bright grey colour and then blend up to pure white for the extreme edges. Dilute a lot your paint or white will look to thick.
One, can't paint more at the time, but it'll not be finished before long because tomorrow; back to school :(
Says the guy with 14K posts ;)
Nice bunch of guys, quite horrible, voted and left comments ;)
Works fine for me but your white needs improving, it is too pure so it doesn't look realistic, pure white must only be used parsimoniously when painting white, for edges, the rest has to be another...
Like everyone said, very good guy. The story is nice too, thanks for sharing all that.
Absolutely amazing work there Taggi!
Good, I like the lense. The little guy looks nice in that scene.
I really like the way you painted Darkness, he's pretty good, but I'm not really convinced by Y'sala, I think the yellow is a too warm and doesn't fit with Darkness.
These two look good but I think the gold needs a bit more depth, a wash of dark blue and then of brown could be good.
Blue would definitely be better.
Fun guy with his horrible face.
That's some pretty good guys. I really love the lotr minis and you really did a good job with them. Congrats on your trophy.
And you also sculpt! You're a crazy talented guy! Very nice job on this guy so far, I really want to see how it's coming along.
