I've got to say, I'm shocked that the Fel Hammers don't get a "death strike" with the Unmasked's Training if they fail that final Will Check and they die. That... super sucks. I mean, I'm not mad...
Really enjoying your painting style! What is your method for the flesh on those buzzblades?
I hate that little old man so much.
EvilDave, I don't understand.
The "attacks that stem from it" are the same thing as the "Attack Action", just split among separate targets, which is a legal option when utilizing melee...
Makes sense to me that they would get the reroll, it *is* technically an attack.
Would have worked out for me better the other way, but pleased with the validation of proper language usage in my favorite tabletop game. Thank you, Mr. Black!
The more I look at it, the more I think the intention would be the attacking model potentially suffering multiple backlashes if it chose to attack multiple models, and the text seems to support that....
My thinking about it is that Ignite the Spirit Fire is applied to the defending model. It states, "Once per attack, when this model is attacked and * result is generated, 1 attacking model suffers...
Awesome! Thank you guys for the help, seriously. Like I said, I didn't expect anyone to agree with me, just that I was having serious problems dealing with it.
-Heska's Shattering Strike...
For someone with a lot of Pelegarths, this changes things quite a bit for me. I can now have my horde smash up against his horde and use Knockback without fear of killing myself on a Backlash. ...
Have been playing Nasier, recently switched to building out Teknes. So I've had lots of Pelegarth and a few Ashmen, plus additional bits and pieces. My buddy plays very, very Legionnaire heavy,...
Are we sure on this answer? Was it answered somewhere else by a rules authority? (No offense Dave, I totally agree with you, I just want to be able to prove this ruling; it would totally change the...
I wish so hard that stupid model's rules were only "Once per Turn". My good friend uses multiples of that old jerk to such profound effect that it almost (*almost*) kills the fun in playing.
There were no new Hadross items for sale Dave, only the 2 Nasier and 2 Teknes boxes.

Don't forget this gem. He was just hanging out on top of the vendor area shelf on display, and I could only get smiles and winks out of folks when I asked them about it. It's the size of a...
Bummer, the Battle sized Tournament is happening during the Dark Age Immortals tournament. These are my two games that I play, and now I'm stuck choosing! Argh!
Oh well!
Who should we put our local stores in direct contact with about stuff like this? I know my local store deals pretty much exclusively with Alliance Distributing, and explaining anything else to them...
A new Tale of Wrath post by yours truly: http://waaarghpug.blogspot.com/
If someone would put up the rules for her, I'd buy the model.
Cool man, thanks for the link Dave!
Not that I've seen yet... I guess someone should make one. I'll see if I can manage that hopefully soon.
In that situation, only the Hakar and Shield of Taelfon are engaged. In order to Engage, a model *must* be in base-to-base contact with the other model. The distinction is especially important when...
Dave is correct. If someone wanted to argue it with you, just point out that it *must* work that way, otherwise "Assist" actions wouldn't work.
I believe that I am that "first victim" you reference... haha!
Looking forward to it, I need the incentive to get working on Teknes now that I have a mostly painted Nasier army.
In all fairness, this is a pretty selfish mentality in regards to this argument. While you're not wrong, this is purposefully twisting an emotional argument in the direction you want it to go with...
Excellent pictures, Sawyer! That's exactly how I would play/rule it around here, as well. We also allow the same situation if the terrain doesn't have an open bottom (like a solid rock face instead...
Cool dude! You're only a couple hours away from me; if you guys start hosting any tournaments or anything please let me know, there might be a small contingent making the trip! (and obviously I'll...
We play it so that overlapping bases count as base-to-base simply for fun factor. Having a model hop up on a 1/2" tall terrain piece and then be immune to melee assault from anything with Range 00...
Oh dammit, you're right. EVERY YEAR CMON!?
It can be removed with an Interact action.
Oh man this one is tempting me soooo hard. Too many minis, not enough time!
Damn I wish you guys were just a tad closer than 4.5 hours away... Oh well. Sounds like a blast! I hope you guys have a great turnout!
I'm sticking with Nasier and Hadross. I was agonizing over which to main, but I'm just getting a smathering of both so that I can demo with it. As time goes on I'll likely pick some up from the...
So I'm brand new to Dark Age (thanks to a wonderful panel/demo from Mr. Black at the CMON Expo!) and I'm trying to catch up by getting the books. I got the Core Rules book at the expo, but it...
My wallet was wounded because of the immediate need to pick up Dark Age upon actually playing a game of it (Kukulkani, here!) and the benefit of already owning or having kickstarted everything else I...
I've just returned from the Expo (I unfortunately could not stay all three days) and I can honestly say it was the most positive experience I've ever had at a con/expo. I got to spend some quality...
