There's usually a migration to the hotel around lunchtime.

Just a little bump as there's still time to enter this.
Hey Zaphod - do you think your LGS would make for a good feature in the magazine, if so drop me a line at: irregularmagazine@gmail.com?
Good to hear there are some decent places around.

The website is back online - sorry for any inconvenience. There was a mix up on our bandwidth settings (MB and GB!).
Thanks Mick - that's not something that should have happened, as I made sure to get a ridiculous amount of bandwidth. I'm talking to the host company now.

The cold weather is here, and what better to read whilst you keep yourself warm, than the latest issue of Irregular Magazine - Issue 3 / Winter '10?
This bumper-packed issue is over 100 pages...
I'm also on a self imposed mini buying ban, almost 3 months in :D
Add how long it's been to your sig, and make it a statement you can't go back on!
Best of luck - that's a lot of tanks.

This is looking great.
This looks cool - what a great gift and an excellent idea.
I really want that rabbit!

I think 19th is the last Sheffield Irregulars painting session if you fancy a trip up to the steel city HubbaBubba - you'd be very welcome.
Really like these, very moody and atmospheric. Highlighting on the ladies hair is nice too.
Advance tickets are on sale - but it looks like all the hotels are getting booked up for that weekend already!
I'll also say Muppets Christmas Carol - without it, the season is not complete.
I made Jay watch A Christmas Story the other day, I hadn't seen it in about 10 years - it's still messed up, but...
I like it when people do this kind of thing. A sweet gift.
Cheers Mike.
Sadly no way we could have made it to Game09.

Many thanks

I will be there (2nd time entering), and mostly just taking part :)
40K single.
Plus hoping to bring something else for the meet up.
Aye, I certainly enjoyed our evening. And am secretly glad I wasn\'t dragged into some of the shenanigans at Bugmans. Although I sooo want to see the video of the dance off!
I\'m sorry Mike - I didn\'t get to do your questionnaire :(
Hope Fran is feeling better.
It was a really great weekend - lovely to meet everyone, but a little bit sorry I missed the bugmans...

Oh god the looks I got last time. :cussing:
Mr Scream\'s reaction was one of the best, he thought I\'d lost Squiggy lol
hehe love the post title, and the fact the mini has a real Dick Dastardly look about him. Red hat is nice.
Getting my anxiety under control on my current work project has made me feel better.
Sunshine makes me feel better.
Unexpected praise or appreciation is a real boost, especially from someone...
Hmm, a birthday treat for me perhaps next year?
Sounds good. I liked the idea about a special savings account - now I just need some money to save! lol
lol I love \'em.
After showing these new ones to a chap at work - it looks like I\'m going to be painting Gambit when it comes out. My first commission - I\'m going to be getting discounted (maybe even free) personal...
I\'ve booked the time off work and arranged the rabbit sitter - now just need to get some money to book travel and bnb, so we can go!
The star wars stuff looks awesome - not the really obvious poses either. I really want Han Solo, (and the mini looks nice too!)
Warhammer World in Nottingham
Some really lovely entries - thanks for sharing.
Both days for me.
Congrats Mike.
Wow - 81 though, that\'s a long time.
We\'re at 11.
bases are painted - but very lightly :D
The single base is a swarm of crabs from Black cat bases (I guess that\'s what you meant) but I kept getting blurry photos of it, hence no close up.

lol - those last ones are a bit freaky :D
Cheers for the links.
Cheers.
I had a look at Mega miniatures before posting here. I went through all the animals but didn\'t see rabbits - will go back and look again.
the drone that\'s pooping is a much better version. Gotta say nothing excited me much at the FW open day.
I\'ve seen the odd few Easter specials around, but are there any other rabbit miniatures out there?
Many thanks.

Our painting group challenge for June is to paint a Rackham mini in \'the spirit of Rackham style\'.
But I\'m interested in what you think is Rackham style?
I know what I think it is - but I\'d...
Perfect - our painting group challenge for June is to paint a Rackham mini - and we\'ve got a month to find a figure - I\'m sure this will help a lot of people who don\'t have one sat in a cupboard.
I\'d like to say that\'s the best poster advert for a painting/modelling event I\'ve ever seen.
It\'s nice to see something modern, and that properly celebrates the hobby.
AFAIK the plan is to hold the event again next year. And I was really impressed that it was only a group of 4 people who had put it all together. I think they did a pretty good job for a first event....
Today was lots of fun - lovely to meet you and Paul again Mike, and nice to speak to you in person Klaus.
We ended up with about 12 kids (mostly under 10) visiting our painting table - and one...
we got them really cheap - didn\'t pay those prices.
I know, but they\'re both facing the front and it looks a bit staged. :(
That\'s a shame Chris.
Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it tomorrow.
Lovely pics Mike
We\'ve got some of the Andrea ones they\'re pretty good and you can get them from Amazon.
I believe we have:

Good job :)
the hair really stands out for me - very nice.
Very impressive, if a little macabre for my taste.
Might have preferred the guys on the left (of the pic) interacting with the scene more, rather than posing to the viewer - but that\'s being picky...
Well done Wag - it was a close one at the end there.
wow that\'s some paint area.I hope you got all those models out just for the photo ;)
I love the flowing water look - and the graffiti and stuff sounds like it will be really cool - I\'m just a little concerned at the moment that there could be too much empty space in the scene and...
This is such a nice model - and I was surprised to find - quite small!
I\'m liking the leather on here - and the blasted eye is a different approach that works well.
Congrats on making the cut. The piece looks nice. I like the little bits like the OSL in the building.
The only comment I would make is that the guy up top looks more static that the ones below -...
My vote goes to Aldmhac - from this photo I think the video will help you most from the three nominees.
Good luck everyone.
Thanks guys - it\'s not really the painting that\'s making me anxious and stressed - just life in general. It\'s just seems to be having a negative effect on my painting.
The models are from...

Hi Mike, looks like we\'re coming (barring any transport problems), maybe 4 of us from Sheffield...
Look forward to seeing you.
Interesting stuff -thanks.
Oh and those are some big models in your cabinet!!
Thanks guys :) I appreciate the feedback.
Went along, was pretty disappointed overall - not as good as the Studio Open Day.
Here are a few pics I took of the flying, pooping machine/ blight drone amongst other things.
Getting a commission is very cool. Having it turn out well is really good.
Personally I don\'t like the hair colour - it\'s too pale, a fiery orange would have been ace.

Sam - are you going to put your glasses on to paint?lol
OMG - I\'m lost for words. That\'s just insane - and it\'s just beautifully balanced by the postscript from the guy who put it online.
Genius - the bit about the dramatic recording is my fav.
