Sweet! Thanks for the tutorial.
'Thanks guys, they're the first "robot" miniatures I've painted, so they're testing me.
Milosh- Jen Haley and I plan on being there to participate in the painting contest and see all the cool...
It's been a busy week, but here is what I've been working on for work. Tallmen from Darkage, studio painting. I'm glad everyone likes the video links I posted :)

For now I've done most of my tutorials for Ravage Magazine. I would like to make more videos, but they're pretty time consuming. :) I do like the idea of a simpler tutorial explaining tabletop...
Meph, I can agree with that thought. I usually like articles and pictures to learn small techniques, but say, wet blending, I had to take a class and watch someone (jeremie) paint the model. This is...
No problem! I'm glad people find them useful. :)
Hey everyone, happy Monday! I have some useful videos I'd like to share with those of you that check out this thread and also anyone that drops by. During the Arcadia Quest kickstarter, I had many...
Bah ha ha! That's a great comic and relatable too! I think I prefer painting the "non standard" miniatures and instead paint the grotesque and strange. I can't wait to get my hands on some of those...
I'd like to try something new for everyone and make a simple tutorial every now and than for the things I am working on. Right now I am currently working on a variant sculpt for House Teknes from...
Worked on the base for the Archangel today. I decided to keep it simple with cork and green stuff. I sculpted the tile and made the base detachable from the display base via rare earth magnets. I'm...
Finished the archangel today! Now to move on to creating a base, which will also have it's own tutorial.

I'm a big fan of comics, so thank you! I think it also comes from having to paint all those Arcadia Quest models, which are bright and cheerful.
He will be getting some weathering, I just plan on...
That would be fantastic, I could will the paint into being and still get paid, that would go over well with my boss.
Roughly 7-8 hours so far. He's a little over half way finished. It's time consuming because I have to stop and take pictures every 20-30 minutes where I would normally work straight through.
Progress for the day- little slow going because I have to stop and take notes at every color and step by step pictures

I come and go, but there are always things on my desk to paint ;)
I took a brief hiatus from the Coolmini community to attend/work Gen Con and Dragon Con with the company. For those of you that stopped by the CoolMiniorNot booth, it was nice to see you and I hope...
Finn, I don't think there's any right/ wrong way to do what we do if it comes out nicely. Sometimes the neatest effects are achieved through mistake. Good to hear you put more work into them after...
Nice to see you here! The tabletop minis are always hard to critique...hmmm... Do you add any more detail after you dip them? Sometimes I find that even a little extra highlight can make a world of...
I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend for those of you in the states. I came back to the studio and finished my Dread Knight and moved onto my Necromancer for Arcadia Quest.

I had to move 700 miles for one ;) put a shout out on message boards and threads to see of there's anyone in the area that wants to paint. For one of my groups, I drive an hour once a month.
I've slowly been working my way through the zombiecide promo figures for my boyfriend. Today at paint group, I worked on Ivy.

Thanks Skelette, I really enjoy poking around your WIP thread, there are some nice pieces there.
Hey Forte,
It's nice to see that you never really stopped painting and have picked it up again. I especially enjoy looking at the use of blue and purple in your minis, they are wonderfully executed....
Sometimes I get to do a little bit of work for myself. Last night I started painting the main character from Andrew May's new kickstarter Tooth and Sword. Check it out here-...
The concept only shows the eye glowing, otherwise I would be down to tackle that osl trick and make it look good.

Hi everyone, please feel free to ask me question's about my work. I paint almost every day, so there will be many posts of work in progress.
I use Reaper Master Series paints and assorted...
Thanks MiniArt! Try the brand Escoda, a spanish maker. I have found them at Blick at a reasonable cost, usually $11 for a 5/0.
A wet palette and working with my paints to figure out how they react. Also, Kolinsky sable brushes are a must for me. I sometimes use a synthetic, but it doesn't take long for the tip to curl and...
Hey Sproket, your work is great. Thanks so much for sharing and providing inspiration. It's a nice distraction for my own work in the studio every day :) just don't tell my boss!
What paint line are you using?
I prefer Reaper, so I would say a leather brown and something like golden blonde for the highlights. It will have the warmer feel which will contrast with the...
I like to tell people that practice, practice, practice really helps. I know some people don't have a lot of time to devote to a hobby, but even half and hour to an hour helps. As a professional...
Hello everyone, just wanted to share some of the painting process for a little bunny named Nibbles. I have been working my way through painting all of the Arcadia Quest miniatures and thought it...
