ok guys thanks
I couldn't seem to find this on GW's website, all the minis are there, but no Codex
Anyone know why?
Is it being re-done or discontinued?
Exactly, they aren't alive till you paint 'em Vikey!
yeah it's definitely just for getting an army on the table to game with, it's not gonna give a tournament winning army by any stretch
but I've not done any highlighting what so ever, that's...
yeah I brush on the quick shade, it's way too thick if you dip the mini in it
Any spray paint will go grainy if you are too far away from what you are spraying
how did I do it?
Just paint on the base colors, no shading or highlighting, then "dip" it in the quick shade. I didn't actually dip it tho I brushed it on
@Cheelfy: It hasn't had any highlighting...
Been playing with the Army Painter stuff and thought this guy came out good enough to share

No, but I can take a couple today before I matt the next 4 Marines
Sorry Chrome, I completely lost track of this thread, I'll see what I can do for you :smile-big:
Thanks Mule, this is quite an old pic, but not much has changed, except this is now the back room of the workshop rather than "the" workshop. I do need to make another paint rack at some point soon,...
here's a couple of pics of the first two minis I've done using AP products, I'm impressed enough to recommend them without any reservations, including the price

That's what I was thinking James
I'd disagree about the car spray, (unless you just want black, white or grey) I've just started some marines using the AP primer, the coverage is superb, and the drying time is super fast too and...

Me too!
Well I've got my map, and a list of traders, but I've got nothing planned on what to buy, whatever takes my fancy at the time. I sold some paints to my mate so I'll have some decent spending...
give them a ring and they'll reserve them for you to collect on the day
Pee Wee, started in High school, basically because I was short, came in handy a few times, I could fit into an empty locker (where the cabinet is divided into 4 as seen on a lot of US TV shows)
Gotta work in the morning, in Bromley, should be finished in time to pop in on the way back
That's probably a good idea as the seating on the right is next to the bring 'N' buy, which could get a bit crouded

you could also try Halfords leveller, but be very, very sparing with it, do a test on something old first

Nice one Gary, I must get round to doing some one day
added you as a friend btw
Mick
pretty impressive, just out of curiosity, anyone know how much it cost to make that snowman?
coke's probably worse!
you could always dilute the vinegar to make it weaker, or just remove it sooner than Shawn's overnight soak
