Excellent piece Gorb congrats
Loving the recent work, long live the gobbos. Your chief looks great
Fair comment Graishak, the wooden tree stump got short shrift at the end when I was trying to finish. I might go back and at least give it a bit of a drybrush. It did have a few colours at the...
Happy Christmas everyone, hope you all had a great time and got some paints/models.
I just about finished the Phoenix Parrot although I had to rush a bit at the end, so it's not 100% as accurate as...
Agree with Gorb. Good Omens I thought was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the recent Amazon adaptation . Terry Pratchett, what more needs to be said....one of the very very Best. Apologies...
Cheers Gorb, I saw you on there. I totally agree, it's great to be able to share pics up on Instagram but these forums are better for learning, teaching and more long form answers and chat.

Just saw the MM email and results, really pleased to see you get first place, congrats but well deserved I think. You knocked it out the park with that piece.
Ahh good luck in the Miniature Monthly comp, I wanted to enter something myself but just couldn't find the time to finish anything (just bought a house....needs a lot of work!)
Gladiator is great Arkaan, well done

Great work on those wings, it'll be totally worth it in then end and you'll be really pleased you did it
Congratulations on your gold, worthy winner. Please go easy on Mike, he was probably only trying to give the rest of us a chance to catch up to your level via a little sabotage!
Cheers Eki (and Maxx lol). I wouldn't have guessed it was a GW figure honestly. Annoying about the hair, that happens to me quite frequently and its always a frustration. Still looking good though

I agree with Eki, for 1 month you are doing pretty well. The main thing is literally getting the colours you want on the bit of the model you want at this stage lol!

Hey there, I haven't been idle (mostly) but slowly painting up the Phoenix from Kingdom Death. It's a sort of present too, the theme being that the colour scheme is similar to my partner's parrot....
That is awesome, great work. Really menacing and atmospheric. Congrats on this

Zero those jeans, and the jacket, are great. It's hard to get a realistic demon effect and you nailed it. Nice work
Yeah so far so good, I love a big scenic base like yours. Looking forward to seeing more
Good effort, and you aren't a million miles away. I think you did a good job and practice makes perfect. It's good to push your skills even if you think it's far above your current level...which I...
Right I've just about finished here, I'm ok with it. Actually turned out better than I thought, when I saw the clean up required. Another little Raging Heroes mini done, just some finishing touches...

Yeah awesome model, well done.
Good work, nice looking unit there
Can't wait to see you start these, and have to say....um.really impressed with your colour test! If I had those skills I'd probably never actually paint anything and just do that!
Krule I hear you, they are a pain to clean and assemble. I've learnt to accept it basically. They won't be perfect, which is weird because normally I hate stuff like that. Nevermind, bit more work...
Ooo great start on this, can't wait to see more
Wonderful job, it's easy to see the effort you put into this piece Zero.
You're on the right track here mate, it looks great

Dabeebs so true I didn't even know I'd done it until I stated looking at the rendors from the KS and thought "hang on....". I've actually managed to stick 2 new talons on that I cut from some...
Kind of jumping around at the moment, thought I've have a go at this Xarssis Harpy Queen by Raging Heroes. Again, it's an excellent piece but a bit suspect quality-wise. I also jumped the gun and...
You're going to go mental painting that lot Graishak lol, good work though

Just as an update guys, and it may help others, I haven't been able to post for about a week and a half. Not sure what happened, but every time I tried to post something I'd get a -forbidden- message...
Be brave trikzter, the base looks great so far. Well done starting a wip
Yeah that doesn't sound good, less winners and pictures for the rest of us to see. How can a space marines be judged against a knight in armour for example. Oh well.
Your nmm is some of the best...
Nice progress on this large fella mate.
Mate this was a great job overal. I hear you on the quality of the model itself. Exactly like you, I've been slowly going through some Raging Heroes stuff, from the Kickstarters.

http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y520/rob3339/20190309_155712_zps0ugisu4f.jpg
Excellent work Bam, thoroughly gruesome and horrible......just the way we like it. Really great squad.
Good work, loving these squigs too. We'll have this crew finished in no time mate!
So Zarbag is basically done, little tiny bits and pieces to finish here and there among the crew but more or less they're finished! Photos will have to be taken!
...
Absolutely fantastic. I don't really get excited by vehicles in general. Tanks, planes, etc don't do anything for me mostly but wow occasionally I see something like this, seriously impressive.
Awesome work, I'm looking forward to seeing more of the big headed floating guy!
Almost finished the whole set. I used a colour shift metal paint on the cauldren, just to experiment a bit. Doesn't show up well on this photo, but they are interesting paints and I'm.sure there s...
Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate them. Progress on the fanatic now
http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y520/rob3339/20190225_065926_zpsjhiwdtd7.jpg

Well done, great squig, really vicious looking.
Well done, it's great work you're doing
Who says counselling doesn't work hey!
Loving your work Gino, the bust is superb but special shout out to the Cawdor guy. Nostalgia is strong with this one for me ha, but you've done a great job with the muted colours in him.
I know it's been said a hundred times, but Bam man your weathering is good lol. Not just weathering, but the blood, goo, slime, everything.
Yeah that's fantastic
Squigs. That is all.
http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y520/rob3339/Mobile%20Uploads/20190212_210549_zpsjfqxieia.jpg
So I'm trying to be a bit more efficient now, and finishing some gobbos instead of flitting around doing a bit here and a bit there. These archers are done, as are the squigs.
...
Hey guys, anyone around here backing the 'Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum' Kickstarter? I thought it looked pretty good
Looks great, and also a really fun model to paint

http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y520/rob3339/Mobile%20Uploads/20190119_121431_zpsdg35xzc5.jpg
One of the good things about this set is you can switch between the goblins and squigs for a quick change if you feel like it. So here's a little update on the squigs.
...
Looking good Bam, love the addition of blood and grime to the net. The glow from the mushroom is good too
Blimey that's excellent. Work of art
So far so good, that's an incredible job already
Oh excellent idea, well done. Looks brilliant
Nice work so far
Really appreciate the nice comments guys, thanks a lot
Yeah I agree, I preferred how they were, and I've got back to that almost. These guys are almost finished now, really fun to paint
...
Oh wow, fantastic sword effect. Way to go, now I want to restart mine haha
As you can see the cloaks have darkened down a lot, so I'll either rehighlight as they are, or redo the whole blue thing again. Skin and other little bits being done at the minute
...
Great work on Zarbag, purple works really well.
Ok had a bit of a disappointing day painting, used a dark wash to shade the goblins but kinda lost a lot of the blue from the robes and got quite a shine on them too. So I did a little bit of work on...
So far so good.
http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y520/rob3339/Mobile%20Uploads/20190105_183628_zps772bci2j.jpg
Haha cheers Bam. I reckon these are at least 15+ years ago. Can't believe it!
As I'm currently prepping the Gitz I thought I'd make a fool of myself and post a picture of some squigs I did....a long time ago now. They were still a lot of fun then too
...
Yeah nice choice of colours for the goblins CC, I've always thought the night goblins look good when they have quite a bright colour incorporated into the robes scheme.
Looking great so far Bam. I really like how you've done the robes, in that kind of raggedy look. Guess who'll be able to start participating in this big goblin paintathon very soon.....me! Merry...
Fantastic work on those gobbos, and equally so on the undead. Amazingly well done
Thanks Bullfrog, and cheers once again BAM.
#never100% haha totally agree
Nice work ekipage, you've got a lot going on haven't you ha. Good start
Loving your work so far, agree with everyone else. I find the unusual stands out, ie I really like the way you've painted the hot coals in the pot. Great !
Thanks QP appreciate it. Shame about the Painting Bhudda videos too. I knew the guy had taken a bit of a break and tried to get back back into the swing of things then it never really happened. Great...
Yeah really great Foxtail, skin tones and all the details are wonderful
I also am happy, so it seem there is happiness all round. Excellent!
Great work as usual Bam, so many models on your plate you must be full! Special shout out to the gobbos of course. Really like the cloaks
Haha no worries, I've been painting a long time don't worry. The Painting Bhudda videos were always awesome, shame they stopped (anyone know the reason actually?).
Thanks for the feed back. Most...
Pretty much all done. Quite enjoyed this one, especially as it started out as a more of a distraction than anything else. I'll try and get some better photos done at some point. Thanks for the...
Looks great, very atmospheric. Well done, what's next on the table lol.
Thanks guys, and cheers for the feedback. Yeah I still have things to do, and I might do a bit of black lining. If done well it really helps, as you say. Plus hopefully when I'm done I can take a pic...
That is stunning mate, really superb use of colour, osl and everything. Well done
The great work continues, can't wait to see her completed. The blue skirt is wonderful, very rich.
Yay, after a bit of a (unintended) break I managed jump back in. Phone picture not very good but here we go. Really enjoying this one so far....
Hey she's looking great so far, plus I don't mind being blamed for things if it means we see more cool looking miniatures around here haha. Can't wait to see more progress
Oh wow. Congrats on the awards and great looking Zarbag so far
Mate, same here to all those things haha. But yeah, watch some YouTube videos first to get a general idea. It's satisfying when it starts to click though
Great work. Nmm is the next step, don't be afraid to try it. But there's nothing wrong with using true metals either! You mention the black robes seem different shades...which imo is actually a good...
And to tell the truth ekipage is correct, she's really just an Italian restaurant critic, that's her background.
