So what have I been up to ? Have built a couple of Post Apocalyptic cars...
Rest well mate, and don't try to rush your healing process, we'll be here when you're ready
Looking good mate, have noticed you like to do one by land and by air at the same time, although the land based one could equally be by sea ! Go Boaty ! LOL

I like all the extra pictures you do and enjoy spotting all the little changes since the last picture, wow an advantage to having OCD ! That's a first
Shall be an interesting weekend, will either see updated models, or a video of Meph twerking !
cheers mate, the translucent resin means the flames are semi see through like real flames, it's the trick to this effect
Here is the finished Aztec fire demon, it was cast in yellow translucent resin to aid the painting of the flames

Indeed, do enjoy seeing your technological marvels
I believe it's a titan class bug, and the Harridan as you say is a Thunderhawk equivalent, the Heirodule is a smaller Titan bug. The biggest recorded bug is the Nuln Queen according to the background...
With the new titan game their working on should be lots for you to build in 28 mm scale before too long BA. Their building it in a smaller scale but larger than epic, now some of the races like the...
Developing nicely, with the great shear effect you've done where the cloth is on the flesh, the bottom half that's hanging free looks a little solid at the moment . Are you still developing this area...
I think they all have merit depending on how long the skin has had to degrade, and what colour the skin was before rot set in
That is one large piece of plastic ! Gives a real sense of the size of the upper deck
Cheers mate, got a couple more planned as fun little projects
Looking good mate, your weathering always adds an extra dimension to your models
Great looking marines Zab, like the subject you've chosen for the MV contest
@ Digga, ROFL, no reconciliation then ?
@ten ball wouldn't take it personally mate, he's hostile to everyone
Our next offering is a rude grey alien, if you notice he has a scar on the right side of his head, maybe he was a victim of the Roswell crash, or victim of a lobotomy !
59798
Looking great Andy
Good to hear there was no permanent damage, really starting to take shape BA
early retirement sounds a great idea mate, now if I can just finish building all the idea's I currently have it might be an option. " OH NO THERE'S ANOTHER 5 ! "
Awesome news on the cub following his dads footsteps, always a great feeling when they have a common interest.
WTW never heard of them, hope it's a good piece to tie in with your other stuff !:smirk:
Cheers mate, really wanted to make this for a while. had a spare couple of days and said why not !
Great construction work as always BA, one of my favourite things about your constructions, is the engineering feet that would need to be achieved to build one in real life, and your continued work to...
Didn't want to freak you out again mate ! LOL
@ Ten Ball cheers mate, I do like to add some fauna to my scenery where possible
@ Digga he's a nice friendly snake really mate !
Here are a couple of shot's of the other fauna inhabiting this...
Cheers mate, never thought I'd hear you say you liked a snake ! LOL All the elements on here are taken from actual Aztec sculptures so can't take any credit for them just replicating the originals...
Seems like I've been doing more figures than scenery recently, so here is an Aztec style portal to remedy that. It will come with a translucent blue resin centre with a rippled effect to show the...
Knew it had to be Digga's fault ! ROFL
Very nice Andy, need a different colour in the shade of the bottom half of her butt cheeks , as at the moment she looks like she's had a very large spanking
That was me suggesting the cub finished the model, personally I'd blame Digga as he wanted the credit for endorsing it ! LOL
The experiment did turn out really well though, and nice additions to the...
The pink works well against the blue, and ties in well with the pink and purple tones you have in the flesh mate
I thought from he earlier WIP pics you were going to be painting her in a Nubian colour scheme, this one works just as well and have to agree with Ten she needs to be a lot lighter skin tone compared...
Really nice mate, the markings turned out really well and add to the shape of the fighter
Really nice emotion in the face mate
Tank's are looking great mate, eagerly awaiting the reveal on the flyer to see how the patterns look in colour
Ink's, washes and glazes are effectively watered down paints, inks have the strongest pigment then washes then glazes. I find with ink's to use them as a wash I have to water them down, washes such...
Cheers mate, got to do it while I can. Now if I can just get the photography sorted I'll be happy
Really nice mate, does that pilot come with the model, as quite often they have tech marines piloting ?
Interesting figures Lee, will be interesting to see what magic you weave with this
First sneak peek at September's releases is a necromancer summoning the dead, 28 mm heroic scale and the base is cast in green to aid the magical effect
59473
Like the markings you've gone for, and the Primaris is looking great
Thank's Meph, they must have found similar reference material ! LOL
What a nightmare time you must have had ! At least your back to normality now and back to the painting
Looking good KB, really like the extra touches of moss on the scenery
Thank's KB, hopefully should have him finished today
looking good mate, keep at it you'll soon be finished
Sounds good mate, and have my eye on a squadron of these myself
My answer would be in the form of a question, which is more important ? for me I'd rather the look, but you could always paint it standard, then photograph it, then add the tleading edge pieces...
Cheers mate, he's almost finished now, then onto casting
Here's a WIP shot for you Digga to tease what's coming
59075
This will be an Aztec Fire Demon once finished, and will be casting it in yellow translucent resin
Looking great Meph, for the quick masking it came out really well
September is all fantasy pieces mate, some themed together and another just because I thought it would be cool, there may even be a fun little piece just because " why not" then I have a lot of Post...
Cheers mate, the crowds would need to be about 10 deep for Salute ! LOL hoping to add to these at a later date got a few other projects I need to do first
Cheers Lee, it's been a fun project and the guy's who asked for them really like what I came up with
Cheers mate, thought it was one that any parent could appreciate, trying to look at something while the child want's to be somewhere else ! LOL
Great progress on the turtle mate, this is rapidly turning into one of your best so far. Some sound advice for people new and old in the painting scene
Thank you Foxtail, some of the inserts you can barely see at all, but knowing their done keeps my OCD happy
Here is the completed array of trade stalls and patrons all set out together
59024
Next month onto some fantasy pieces
Stunning shell work mate !
Those turret housings are inspirational, kept getting notifications that you'd done a post but nothing showing up when I checked the thread
Great use of the base, now the green slime makes sense. Great job mate
Looking good mate, would consider changing the colour of the strip as the emblem is getting lost being the same colour
Great stuff KB, maybe get the little cub to try some washes on the sea hag as a progression so it remains all his work
Thank you KB, it's nice to be able to get a bit more done at the moment, as we've been getting a lot of scenery requests lately
Thanks digga and meph been having a blast with this range
Seems to be a warhound missing from this awesome group shot, and a reaver as well. Stunning work as always BA
Here is a patron for our Radbucks coffee stand, a coffee zombie
58756
58757
These poor creatures have only the basic motor functions until they have their first coffee, as you can see simple tasks...
new school stripe will fit the helm better, but always liked the old school markings
Links have no pictures mate, looks like they've been taken down
Love the texture on the egg the only thing I would add is some veins stemming from the bottom
Great idea Zab, showing a plasma blowback. Looks great, look forward to seeing what you do next
Got to have a sense of humour ! Also stops any litigation with companies complaining you've used their logo LOL
First sneak peek at August's releases is a drinks street vending stall for our future city scenics range, comes complete with robo servo droid and drinks dispensors
58626
58627
58628
58629
Great use of detailing pieces BA, with the door I'm sure they could afford a double lock on the inside to make it secure
Very nice mate, like the dark background, but that's a personal preference, both work well
Great to see you back on the wagon again mate (Painting Wagon that is ), look forward to seeing the pics
great progress KB, and Ten's idea is awesome
Well done mate, very well deserved
Very ingenious BA, works a treat and seems to be a lot less work than the Warlord neck
Indeed mate, should have put up a warning incase Zab stopped by ! LOL
Nice face hugger mate, are you adding the details with sculpey ?
Have also found a stick and carrot combined to keep you motivated !
58432
58431
Your new motivator is on his way to see you !
Think we need to find a way of keeping you motivated, so that you get some projects finished, which would you prefer stick or carrot ?
Fantastic backdrop for any duel Skels
Look forward to your update, perhaps I should stop making new stuff for a while not to cause you any distractions ! LOL
Sorry about that bud, wasn't trying to distract you with another game ! DRAGON UPDATE REQUIRED !
Cheers Mally, the female is loosely based off a cosplayer from the wasteland weekend in America, but the name would follow with the wife's name on her jacket at shows
Here is our next scenery piece a mine shaft entrance with cart ( or Dram)
58423
And now a question for all the excellent painters on here, what is the best way to paint faded denim ?
Looking forward to seeing how this works BA
Not sure on the stripes on the horns, rest looks awesome
Looks awesome Andy ! The skulls don't work for me as it is more grey but understand you wanting Slambo to be the focus
Cheers bud, was a fun project
Quite possibly Foxtail ! Was inspired by a fantastic cosplay at this years wasteland weekend
Here's a female wasteland scavenger we will be releasing
58328
Cheers mate, was originally going to be with the Oriental Dragon but kind of took on a life all of it's own, and would have been lost on the base
Back to normal, and a scenery piece to show, a Dragon bell
58241
and shown here with a model for scale
58242
Andy, you need to spin round 5 times then shake your head really hard to get the parasite out ! Make sure you video it, so if it doesn't work the rest of us can have a laugh ! ROFL
Congratulations on the trophy's, the wraith looks great already
They look good mate, keep at it and don't throw this one away !
Very nice mate, with so many great renditions around, I wouldn't have a clue what colour scheme to do
Take care bud, hope to see you back when your ready. Have missed you on here and hope life improves for you
Hope everything is okay mate !
Congratulations on the finalist pins
Congratulations mate, said you'd do better at Golden Demon
Congratulations on the finalist pins Andy
What an ingenious way of fitting it all together BA, fantastic to see and thanks for sharing
Great job mate
Cheers mate, it was a request on their first Kickstarter for werewolf cattle rustlers that inspired this one
Here is a recent piece I've finished for Minaturemen's Kickstarter Howling Odolf Lycanthrope on his long horn bull Mongo, leader of the cattle rustling group the red claws. Cattle rustling may be...
The ninja hamster strikes again ! Good to see your doing well, and life is moving in positive directions for you. You have been missed, and I swear Digga's got your pom-poms not me, I only glanced at...
Interesting choice, should give you practice on multiple different textures, look forward to seeing this progress
Glad you like him and their backstory, Look forward to seeing your next project
Cheers mate, it's the reason he ended up so big as I started with the face and really wanted some expression in it. Then when it came time to add the body I realised how big he would end up ! OOPS
This is turning into one of your best GW pieces so far mate
Thank's SaintToad, he is rather imposing, can imagine him stopping most crimes by just standing there !
Here is Miaturemen's newest stretch goal we made for them, "The Big Guy" rumoured to be the last orc giant in these parts, but everyone is too afraid to ask him. Armed with a gatling gun and pockets...
As promised SaintToad here is the next wild west scenery piece, the outhouse
57577
Luckily for Digga you can't see the snake hiding behind it !
Looking great Andy, really like the blue tones in the NMM. Your article is very good and shall be my reference point when I try NMM
Thank's SaintToad, we have an outhouse, mine shaft with dram, will also be doing the dram as a separate piece for those that want more than one, explosives shack and explosives crates, and if it...
They look great Zab, and nice to see a post from you, hope your feeling better
Sorry mate, had to be done ! LOL At least you didn't spit your coffee this time
ROFL !
57480
I think he want's a kiss from you Digga !
But their so cute and friendly ! LOL
Sorry mate, forgot your fear of snakes
Cheers Mike, like to do proper research before starting a project, luckily found some great reference pictures from the time period. Really like the sepia look to the old pictures
Hope you have a great time in Vegas BA, and the neck passage looks awesome
To coincide with the work we did on Minaturemen's kickstarter, we have started a new scenery section for the Wild West. First one to be shown is the hitching post and water trough.
Cacti and...
Really starting to pop BA
Looking great mate, what is the back going to be like, shadow or normal light ?
really coming together BA
really liking the different colour bombs, excellently painted mate
The rebel pilot model looks a great kit, and a very impressive collection
Thank you Maenas, fun to do comedy miniatures from time to time
smoke trails look fantastic
Cheers mate, gad you like them
Cheers Lee, I like working with Minaturemen as they like their sculpts to have a lot of comedy, here are a couple of the stretch goals that were also fun to do
57317
57318
Cheers KB, he was a real fun project and is one of my favourites
Stunning piece GTG, sorry mate had to get that in one last time ! LOL In all seriousness the amount of detail in this piece is stunning and even though it didn't make the cut it is a very worthy piece
Yes sculpted most of these, they did the humans and one orc, I sculpted the rest from their briefs, apart from the town drunk which was all my ideas
Would b great to see you finish the swordmasters, the dio has loads of character already, look forward to seeing the finished piece
So our good friends at Minaturemen have a new Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/21843325/wild-west-fantasy-miniatures/description this time the focus group is Dwarves in a wild west...
No holo table this time BA ? I am surprised !
Agree with Lee, should form a barrier and keep any reactions tucked away in it's shell
The metal and skin on this one are striking already. Not having you attend Salute would be a sad loss to the competition !
It looks as if it's been battered in battle and gives it a very used look, plus your painting makes it look awesome anyway
No worries Lee, we were on the left hand wall as you entered the door.
These scratch built Grot bombs look awesome. hope all gets back to normal for you soon
Congratulations on the placings, look forward to seeing what you do with Top Grot
Like the small arms platforms, in first edition adeptus titanicus, you could have boarding heads so I think this works really well
Looking great BA, and would say it is already quite something
SSHHH ! Don't tell every one or they'll all expect the same treatment ! LOL
That looks to be the right scale from what I remember from the epic ones, great work as always BA
That's terrible mate, don't worry I have set aside two days for when I next come over to show you techniques
Should be going to one with Sproket next, can't wait !
Cheers mate, these painting courses are paying off
In the artwork it seems to be a curve rather than a bevel after the first cheek bevel. Would that bring the face more in line with the art ?
Thank you Maenas, not having a set of wings meant I could spend more time on the scales. Might have to do more wingless dragons, or just get more organised with enough time to work on them ! LOL
Congrats on the new job Andy, good to see you picking up the brushes again
Thank you SaintToad, wanted to try something different
@Ten ball cheers mate, yes in hindsight more of an arch in the middle would have helped it look more authentic as an oriental dragon (Forgot the fantasy element over how a creature leaps)
@GTG...
Looks good to me BA, and where you've had to modify things because of the misdraw in the artwork I would say it's an adaptation rather than a compromise. Would say you've earned two Martini's with...
Have been working through the colours on the Oriental Dragon, have done a triad of colours to up the contrast on the scales, need to glaze them back to tie them in a bit more.
Many thanks to Tim...
Taking shape BA, the plating adds to the shape
Very atmospheric mate, great composition as well
Great recovery BA, shame the picture hadn't been done in a draughtsmen fashion in the first place
Thank you MarvellousBiscuit, glad I could inspire you to pick up the sculpting tools again
Thank you Meaty, thought I would do round scales this time and keep them smooth. Have done some areas where the scales are elevated and some closer to the body to add to the feel of movement
Thank you Maenas, like to get some varying textures in
Have seen it, now I now which one you mean, cheers mate
Great limited colour pieces again Zab, here's hoping your road to recovery is not too rocky
Nice shape BA, should make fitting the crenellation on the top easier as well
Nice progress mate, the tarnished metal colours look great
Cheers Canny, I will check out this Falcor as well having not heard of him
That's the best one ever mate ! LOL
Thank's mate, it is on my list of monsters to make, just when to fit it in ! LOL
You did indeed, and another 20 odd pages of work, took a while to find the relevant page ! LOL
Cheers mate, one day I'll stop doing Dragons but today is not that day ! LOL
Cheers Mally, always a tough one to come up with something new and interesting, even harder is something someone else hasn't done ! Will keep trying
Foxtail if you check out BA's warlord thread you'll see how he does it have got the link for the page the head build is on...
Have finished the scales, few more details to add then finish all the great ideas for the base
56362
56363
Great effect mate, now how are you going to do mist ? lol
Looks really good Andy, the railings help break up the transition and the blue now looks like an ethereal glow from the Banshee. If you can bare to pick it up maybe add a little blue to the bottom...
Nice work BA, and I would guess the top of a yogurt pot on the useful piece of plastic
