Not sure if I will go to Salute again. I would like to though.
Thank you for your tips and compliments. I have to admit I too found the figure being circumcised a surprise. It is sculpted that way. I also never really seen him as Oberon (the name Hasslefree gave...

I really like this entry. great idea. i might steal it someday. Jamaican dwarf... great.
It shouldn\'t be Iron man though. Iron woman sounds so much better;) I\'m still in the race (if i survive...
Definatly well said. I see no problem with it this way. Like I said before. The persons the competition is aimed at might be just fellow mini enthousiasts. Getting something nice together.

well reaper has slotted (warlords) and cast on bases, so they can compare sales. Add to that that dark heavens already has everything cast on based it\'s it\'s trademark. They can\'t change the ones...
Sculpting on bases instead of slots has it\'s advantages too. I don\'t see how I could have the tiny feet of the waggamaephs work without the cast on base for instance. More freedom with foot...
Yeah these guys are great. I have a collection of them to and i hope to one day have all of them. Your paintjobs are great too. I did the one you did in red green and shooting of a teddy of a wall :D...

yes those are definatly planned. I am learning a lot more not of what I can and can\'t do with the casting. So I now know better what to design and sculpt for the larger figs. Those take a lot longer...
The sending depends on how much you order due to weight. I will charge what the postoffice charges me rounded up by a maximum of 6 cents for packaging. Resin is light.

Hi all,
I started up a new range within Magpie miniatures. I call that part Magpie resin. The figures and stuff in it are designed, sculpted and cast by me in resin.
Here is what i have so far...

The breasty girl is indead Libby from Hasslefree.
The pewter girl with bow and bare breasts is from Masquarade. A small German company. The amazon isn\'t OOP though. Stefan Nieheus still sells it....
I have that figure too... Cutting off the base would be very hard to near on impossible. I plan to take course sandingpaper and move the fig up and down on it. That way the brocoli base will thin...
So cute. Best work of yours ever.

@OrkyDave: Looking really good. The head is great.
They don\'t just seem huge... they are huge ;) Plastics also brings a few other design \"problems\" with them. Undercuts are vigerously avoided, which makes some parts a bit plain and hard to paint....
And here he is. Relative quick paintjob. But i had fun with it. The 3th plastic miniature ever (done 2 GW dryads before)

C\'mon guys let\'s flood Nathan with entries... I know you guys/girls want too.
Managed to get my entries done.
Are you sure they are mixed, NMM and metallics? I have a strong feeling they aren\'t. I think it is all metalics and no NMM at all eventhough we are used to NMM from Natalya (brilliant NMM at that)....
Very very nice, very natural and I love the base. Great job, not to mention on a tiny mini like this.
Just come to Spiel in Germany with me. They had a Fianna in a suit like that (but the fianna was prettier I think). So you might be able to pick one up if you promise to paint her nicely (probably...
Looks worse then it is hahaha... this guy is a stuntman and he\'s actually being pushed more then really forcefull kicked. Looks real enough though.
I\'d say curved back, chest \"collapsing\"... meaning it\'s being pushed back farest of all... the arms (and the banner likely being left to fall out of the hand as well) and shoulders/head would go...
I actually agree with spacemunkie there. To deluted doesn\'t always work better. I noticed i get better results if i manage to get a basecoat done in 1-3 passes
I guess I\'m more or less lucky there. My boyfriend couldn\'t care less about miniatures. Sure I would have preffered him sharing the hobby ofcourse, but he doesn\'t have anything against it either....
Almost right... Valleyo smoke mixed with GW black ink
The ME 9 mini I got from lannister:

Give me an hour and you will some with a painted ME 9 mini (not that I painted in an hour ofcourse... just need to do some final touches).
I prefer the second way too... the warmer brown one (and it worked better at that miniature too as I think the nmm looks better there then in example 1, not just due to the colours). It is more work...
The old heroquest game had a knight too on a lid. I had that one once (not sure if i still do... the box I have is very incomplete now)... i remember it looking ok...

My way of doing it.
I normally mix Snakebite leather (about 2/3) with chaos black (about 1/3) (which becomes slightly greenish)... use that as basecoat. Then highlight with snakebite leather...
Maybe you should not show it to anyone (or mention any actual plans with it as that will get it disqualified) and enter it in the Wyrd Wyrd competition instead of on cmon first. As the comp asks for...
Dibbler, Cut-Me-Own-Throat. Wheresoever two or three are gathered together, someone else will turn up and try to sell them something hot in a bun. This person will probably be C.M.O.T Dibbler.

Well dibbles is the street ventor, selling all kinds of crap and keep telling everyone that \"he is cutting his own throath\" with such low prices... But the warmachine I made up... nothing like it...
All models will be sculpted? Are you planning on making a whole self sculpted army or do you plan on conversions? Ton of work but should be nice.
Looks like you have quite a lot of the army...

Same for me. Just spray primed with GW spray. Worked well. But do some short burst and various layers instead of trying to cover completely in one go.
Squig hunter and me already pm-ed eachother. I don\'t know how to pm lannister though as he doesn\'t have any miniatures up yet, so I can\'t find his gallery and so his pm. So lannister, please pm me.
Well I wasn\'t really bothered myself to be honest, seeing the cool miniatures I got last time... ;) But a bit of mixing up would be fun I think also for John.
