    Default Rosac\'s dwarf lists- 500 and 1000

ok, ive deciding to join a dwarf throng, and have so far come up with this list. I want my army to be more combaty, hence the lack of ranged weps.

Thane, shield, rune of cleaving, rune of stone.

15 dwarf warriors, shields+ full command
15 dwarf warriors, great weps + full command.

bolt thrower, engineer, rune of burning.

    total points 492

    1000 pts list

Thane, shield, rune of cleaving, rune of stone
runesmith, shield, spell breaker, rune of stone

15 dwarf warriors, great weps, full command
15 dwarf warriors, shields, full command
15 rangers, great weps, full command

    15 hammerers, full command
bolt thrower, engineer, rune of burning.

    total= 999 pts.

    what do you think?

Overall quite nice, but I\'d probably give one unit some ranged weaponry. Given you\'re a tad slower than anyone else (although you can always march), you need something to keep the opponent from going where you don\'t want him to. The Bolt Thrower is definitely going to do that, but I\'d like to have the opponent having to choose between a)being charged by hammerers or b) being shot to bits.
    Just my two €cents, though.

Yeah, I\'d drop the Rangers for some Thunderers or Quarrellers.

Personally I would not use Rangers without a ranged weapon. They are highly skilled but I prefer them to shoot a few flanks. Dwarves hit hard, and can take some damage, if you can re work the math, perhaps drop the warrior great weapons to add another bolt thrower. In small games if I saw smaller units of great weapons I would attempt spells or range to keep them at bay. I love rune smiths, smaller games they can stop magic altogether.
