Of course it only takes me a month or so to see your question there BPI, and yes I believe that it did kinda jump at me. But then I relised that his lapel is wrong and that a strap would have to pass though the coat for it to work that way.
Of course I also thought that you were joking about the Dr. or Snowy, then bam there is Snowy. Of course I didn't get the joke until I looked at Lead Adventures site. And here I though I was see mild mannered Bobbys in minnis because I had just seen the movie. Just trying to be hip and current, and failing at that.

Marinated, smoked BBQ. Oh boy, I'm só invading the Americas. During lunch time, I think I'll pop out of the office, walk across the square, go knock on the King's door and ask him for a few bob to mount an expedition. It's about damn time we expanded the Great Belgian Territories! Who's with me?!

"Ah, yes. Well you see your Kingshipness, Me and the boys were feeling abit peckish for some good BBQ. And thought that we may as well just go to the source and invade the greater state of Texas, and maybe Georgia on the way. Can we pick you up something while we're out?"

Bring beer and you got a deal. Hell, bring enough beer and we all might help you oust the idiots we have running this country!

If I win the lottery this week I'm chartering these guys, fill up a tanker with Duvel and head west. We'll save the US from insanity using meat & beer!

Hi MD, yep, the full team will be done in time, possibly pick up the not-Scooby gang from Hasslefree at some point to tag along. I'm thinking of using Calculus as a stand in for the evil Brit leader Mr. Smythe while Tintin and Haddock will be regular unit leaders. Just need to iron out some rules for the heavy flamer Thom(p)sons as the SoTR rulebook only has that weapon as vehicle mounted. I think a high chance of them blowing themselves off the table along with everyone within 5" should do the trick

Do we really have a Belgian-Texan beer and BBQ fuelled insurrection rising here! Marvelous

Hi guys, hope that you're all well

Picked up a blister of Copplestone Evil Geniuses at Triples, couple of figures looked great with a rather boring looking robot in the mix which I assumed was some kind of servant. Only once I got home, took them out and turned him around that I realised I had a Robot Hitler

    Cheers, B.

You continue to exhibit spooky powers in picking weirly cool minis, and now by accident. You must be a mutant, or something.

Well... lets hope he is power-off and that there's no power socket within his reach

Nice job. Perhaps his casing is just a little bit too golden. Would some ageing and patina suit him?

Hi DunErwit, I considered more wear and tear but it fitted into the same bracket as putting rubber track marks on the floor, more effort than I was prepared to put in So we're left with a robot puttering about in Dr. von X's Gibraltar tunnels in 1949 in a rather freshly minted state. I've spent today basecoating a Brit HMG and Anti-Mech Rifle as well as sorting out the base for an underlit crystal terrain piece, which, frankly, is more fun than noodling about with metallics which are hardly my favourite bit of painting Thoughts and suggestions always appreciated though! Cheers, B.

Just need to get a hold of a decent camera and there will be a thread. Presumably.

Here's a couple of other things I've been fiddling with lately:

Gale Force Nine - Battlefield In A Box - Blood Crystals

A Birthday gift, kind of thing It'd never occur to me to buy but once you have them, may as well get them on the table! Three dinky ones are on 40mm bases and have been used as objective markers. The biggy is just done and mounted on a CD, watch battery powered LED keyring torch shoved underneath provides illumination. Camera wasn't interested in too accurate a representation, there's no white patch really, all red, which is more satisfying Crystals on this one have been washed in a mix of red ink and floor polish, hence the shine.

I'm sure you've seen these kind of smoke plumes before but they're so easy I had to have a go... (first vid upload, hope it works)

More watch battery powered shenanigans, this time tea lights that flicker with a rather unpleasant yellow light. I got a dozen from an Amazon seller for seven pound something but saw a pack of four in the quid shop yesterday, so easy to get hold of. Cotton wool sprayed with black and grey paint/primer. I then overdid it with hairspray thinking it might help them to keep shape better but I'm not convinced it did anything other than increase their value as a fire hazard. And the cheapo hairspray didn't smell as good as I remember from teenage years either. Been using these to represent smoke grenades, balancing them on top of burning tanks and buildings and getting them stuck to scouring pad hedges and various trees. First saw them at a show where a guy playing Wings Of War (?) had them scattered about.

Oh, and please excuse the mess!

    Cheers, B.
