Your English is excellent, but, on this forum, it is also perfectly normal not to understand replies because quite often they are:

    a) Gibberish
    b) Written by people who are \'under the influence\'
    c) Written by complete idiots (fools)
    d) Written by people for whom English is their 9th language
    e) There is no e). I just made that up:D

I no more called you stupid than you called me stupid. I was unaware of your nationality, as you did not fill out the \"Location\" section of your account. I notice your English is far better than my French. My intent was not to attack you, but that word in particular hits a nerve.

As for complexity of the figures, I don\'t think the female form is easy to paint. I believe it would be easier to work in 15mm clothed than 28mm nude, and have done better on 1/220 vehicles (Car Wars) than I have in nudes of any scale.

Complexity is, of course, a huge factor in judging miniatures. Personally, I would no sooner give a well painted Silver Skull a 2 because I\'m sick to death of mark 6 armor than I would rate a poorly done Rainbow Warrior a 10 because \"0LD SK00L SM = R0XX0R!!!!!\" Either response would be, in my not so humble opinion, stupid.
    :)

And a one breasted figure would get the same bonus as a three breasted one, of course!

I never said *YOU* were stupid; I just thought it was not understandable to rate a mini basing the vote on, for example, a manufacturer (eg. LOTR\' minis)

Why the painter should have a bad note just because you don\'t like LOTR mini ? It\'s not the painter\'s fault, even not yours (tastes are just feelings).

I think rating is based on the painter\'s skill, not in the model type itself -- a very good talented painter could make a snotling a dream --

    Okay, I\'ll \'fess up.

I\'ve bumped up a mini\'s score based on nice boobs. Sorry... I know it\'s not objective, and I\'m a perv, but I\'ll probably continue to do it in the future. ;)

    Default Establishing waterfowl linearity...

I guess there\'s a range of opinion (hardly surprising) on how to rate figures. There are purists like Asphyx who try to rate only on the artistic merits of the paint job, gut reactors like Nailpainter2003, and regimented voters like Kittykat23uk.

Of course, there\'s a sliding scale and most voters will fall somewhere between these definitions. Even the examples I\'ve used most likely incorporate elements of other voting schema.

hmm.....all in all, not terribly enlightening. I guess the only thing I\'ve learned is that ZaPhOd is cool.;)

Well, shut my mouth and call me, Aunt Pttypat! Oh dear, oh dear. Where are my smelling salts?....I think I shall faint. *fanning flushed face rapidly*

Why, darthfoley,(or is it, Rhett?) thank you for the southern hospitality...and all served up with a smile!....Blue boy mag, pint, Holmes-sized sandwich concoction, and TV clicker coming right up! :) What more could a lady possibly ask for? As God as my witness, I\'ll never be hungry again!

    Thanks again, darth!!

A lady could conceivably ask for many more things, but possibly not in public. ;)

    Keep smiling!

  12. #52

Default I suppose a lady could ask for much more....

....especially if her name was Scarlett!:D

And, call me a slow southern belle, because I just noticed the type of sandwich you\'re ready to serve up!...uhmmm, would that be a John Holmes size sandwich? As Scarlett once said, \"Sir, you are no gentleman!\".....and then Rhett fires back, \"And you, Miss, are no lady.\":D

It doesn\'t take much to keep me smiling and if I can think of anything else you can bring me, I\'ll be sure to let you know.
    Cheers,
    Faye

Now when I originally saw this, I resisted , thinking the joke was all too obvious...

But not you Darth!! You just jumped right in... lollol Nice job.

But, I will have to say, it is not the size of the \"foot long\", but how you apply the relish.

Brazen may be the best word I\'ve never had somebody use to describe me before. :)

    Brazen it is. lol

And as long as you use it WITH relish, and relish the using of it in the first place, I think you\'ll come out ahead. :flip:
