I think it looks alot like the mecha thingy in matrix, but, then again, it looks alot like a very old mecha from
something I can't remember the name of.. :P

But, I just remembered I had 175 pounds in my paypal account I haven't used, so, I ordered 1 of the diaper boys, and some termies and marines.. :P Phew.. like I don't have enough to paint allready, but theese will be my first grounds for modding..

Open model mechanized suits were used way before Avatar. Even recent stuff like Appleseed, with their Landmates. Older stuff, like Aliens, even has open model exoskeletons. Hell, exoskeletons and their many different designs could probably be traced back to the 40's or maybe even the 30's. It's not a new idea by a long shot. This is a far cry from an IP issue, and closer to a bandwagon issue.
I was just pointing out the obvious most recent comparison, not a GW-bash. I know the exo-skeleton has been around ages.

    Yeah, yeah eat it!

    LOL, just kidding.
Honestly, all GW BS aside, If I played GK, I would probably snag one, but I am Imperium'd out.

    GW design for the win!

Seriously though, it's not like any of the rest of the equipment or vehicles makes sense either - pure comic book (and that's being unkind to many comics).

Quote for Truth. Perhaps we should give GW credit for being consistent with the lunacy?

Their seems to be some horrible need with GW soldiers in Fantasy or 40,000 to show the face. There just aren't that many enclosed helmets on the humans/marines. Maybe they think we enjoy painting male faces?

I'm trying to figger out why if it hes a sword in one hand, it can not have a gun on the same arm?
And also, here we have a perfectly good lifting body, and only two weapon systems? Look at the shoulders, all that room, mount some Heavy bolters or a missile system, or something! More Dakka Damn it!

    AW twas ages ago hmmmmmmmm. . . . . . . . . . .

    spray(thin!) bolt gun,
    hightlight chainmail,
    glaze asurmen a few times,
    highlight mithril.
    glaze black.
    as a basic guide.

But white dwarf will have all in i'm very sure

feel free to mix mid stages for these colours for smoother blends..

Actually it's pretty much just like their Eldar War Walkers, but with arms, or dreadnoughts, without the face plate, which have been around for years and years.

    Or more recently, penitent engines.
