Nice reds on the coat there also the skin on the ahem er boobies area has a nice gradation on it. The stripes are looking good though I might be tempted to do some free hand rips ( have a look at ten balls barbarian you'll see what I mean)

Well Nagash's base is almost there.
You can't see the edge highlight on the stones that well in the photo, but it's there.
Once Nagash is in place I will add some bits around him.

Well the stripes have been shaded (not that you can really tell in the photos, darn it).
The hat has been base coated, the boots and hair have been base coated, and the gold trim on the boots is started.
Though as you can see, disaster struck and she lost an arm.
I need to base her or pin her or something, because the way I was holding her while painting is no longer feasible.
I think I'm going to do a peacock feather on the hat. That should be fun.
P.S. Andy - I see what you mean, but her pants already have large holes in them at the hips. I don't think we need tears too! But we shall see - I may try it just to see how it turns out.

I had her pinned initially - but I figured the treasure base would be enough. Live and learn, eh?

Well her arm is back, and she's got a feather in her cap.
The base is shaping up too - and it gives me a nice place to hold so I can stop rubbing paint off.

I like the green feather, it gives her a nice point of attention.
That looks just like a peacock feather. Excellent work!

Busted out the ol' Scale 75 Steel NMM set. Still trying to decide how to paint the two chests. I could do faux wood, but the crate is already sculpted wood. Instincts say red, but then her coat is already red. Hmm.
Then there's the scabbard and the ribbon around her hat and leg. Green? Blue? Purple? None of the above? It's always at this point I start to bog down - when the last few details stymie me and I end up adding another mini to the "almost done" collection while I bury myself in a fresh one.

How about a weathered metal chest for the large one, and a gold small one ?

Pirate is looking good! Maybe a light leather for the scabbard?
Updates on multiple fronts:
Not very practiced on TMM, so Nagash is presenting a bit of a pickle there. On the plus side, I'm fairly happy with how the flames turned out.
And the Pirate Lass - idol has been jaded, and the chest still needs verdigris.

No new progress on the pirate lass.
Nagash has some progress, but it's mostly basecoating. Getting those books floating around him sorted. Man every time I think I'm getting close, there's like 10 more little bits that need done.
I'll see if I can get a pic of Nagash up - I did at least get his big shoulder done.
It's been hectic around here the last couple weeks - my wife finally decided to stop holding the baby in and let her join us on the outside. As we settle in to a bit of a schedule (I took a week off) I am starting to find some painting time again.
