Well done sir! Nice adjustment to the photos - kick that camera's butt and make it behave. lol!

Another great job is the gems on the wrist bracer. What color did you use on those if you don't mind me askin'?

Hi Kath, those are actually metallics. Gold and Scorched brown base. Shaded with baal red, then devlan mud, then badab black washes. Highlighted up to the Mithril silver for the reflective edges and spots.

I like the washes as they add colour without pwning the metallic pigment.

Cheers chaps. Had to reinterview for my job today so mind has been elsewhere over the last 48 hours but all done now. I hope to finish this fella off this week/weekend and then will crack on again with the Savage Orc boys. Got some cool minis to paint over the rest of the year so must not buy anymore!!!!

It will look great as long as you mix the base colour into the black mix and remember to highlite the tattoo with care.

Yeah, and I read about glazing over with the skin basecoat too to age the tattoo a bit. Not sure of my freehand skills so will stencil it out first on something easy!

You're on the ball, I was just going to tell you to glaze over it with flesh tones, so it doesn't look like war paint. Good luck.

Cheers dudes, am enjoyng this little paintoff and its been a nice diversion from GD. Been prepping the Savage Orcs inbetween bits on Wolf. That said I have sculpted an ice base from Milliput and have started painting it. There will be snowy bits on the top and around the smooth contoured edges at the bottom. Imagine he is stood on a little ice pillar so to speak. really happy with how its come out so far but all the little ice 'faces' are taking ages to paint lol. I'll have spent as long on the base as I did the mini in the end!!!
