Quite!! I'm considering buying some uniforms to do while I finish Dreadfleet. In the other hand, just two boats to go

This might be a dumb question, but anyone knows were I can buy crystal stands for the dingy of the dwarf ship??

I look on the stores close to me, but the answers were either to ask GW for it ( and pay more for the shipping than the pieces ) or try to find someone with leftovers...

    Sadly, I don't know.

Good job on the ship though, and only two more? The end is in sight!

My only suggestion would be either Ebay or maybe you could find something to adapt at a craft store.

Thanks Kath. I'll see if I can adapt something...
On the mean wile, just take a look of what I got for €1,00 a pack!!! There's nothing that I love more than a good bargain

Yes Meph, almost done with it . I could have finished it if work didn't get in the way so often, but what the hell! I'm having a blast painting it.

Some more pics. The chu-chu boat and the flying zeppelin are almost done, just some minor details to do. Also have to finish the tiny submarine on the base.

That's the spirit, it's better paint at the speed of continental drift and enjoy it, than slaving at it 'for the man'.

Ooh! Ooh! Put two tiny dwarves on the bow with their arms spread wide... ^^

It would be fun if GW did the crew minis for this ships with several poses. A pain to paint ( you can see the scale by the cannons ) but a great effect in the end.

Here's some pics of the finished mini

Thanks Kath!! Your tips helped a lot to make a jump forward

Not boats today! I almost forgot that I had a couple of sea monsters to paint.

This kind of undead sea serpent is more or less done. It kind of looks to white to me, but then again with the blue background, it will need to stand up.

Have to finish the torned sails, but the rest is quite done.

This one is not finished. Still have a long way to go to give it the ghostly shine it needs.

As always, all input is welcome

    As allways, nice work Alex!

I actually like that last monster more green then ghostly. Gives it a more sea like look.

For the sea& critter, perhaps coat 'm in gloss varnish? Y'know, shiny and wet.

I thought it was oily and wet???

But maybe I am mixing stuff up;-)

Nonono, you're thinking of the universal advice; 'When in doubt, lubricate'.
But sadly this one of the few circumstances where that doesn't apply.

good idea, I was just going to say that
"we reach for the stars, forever looking to the heavens, our minds filled with wonder and the glory of the cosmic all; stretching the boundries of human knowledge and securing the solar system for the Human Species out there beyond the final frontier so one day our decendants will be as gods!
You hold our hands so we don't blunder into things........and do the photo shop.

As you can see, I got my crystal stand for the floating zeppelin

I've already started the Helderhammer: base and shades are done, and now I'm going for the high lights.
