Bird and cricket look awesome.
The fotoshop version of skel seems to be a new inspiration for "angry birds"? LOL

C'mon, Skel, it needs MORE SKULLS!
It looks WAY to flightworthy for a GW VEHICLE! LOL
Looking good 10! My wife happens to love Black caps so mine will be easier, but the robin colors look great!
This is a thread I love to visit over and again simply because it’s some of the best and most diverse painting imo !!! Great birdie and the lot!!!
Those legs look great. Did you do the leaves too? Or are they organic :P
Very cool base... I had to look a couple of times there, then realised they are little Japanese maple leaves![]()
I'm still not quite convinced that the bird is resin and not organic xDDid you do the leaves too? Or are they organic :P
Really great work. So much color variation and contrast on such small details. Just a joy to watch![]()
This is going to look like taxidermy it’s so realistic.
Except most taxidermy isn’t actually this good.
I own this mini too, but now I'm afraid to start working on it...
Excellent work, as always!
I think this is such good painting that you will trick a birdwatcher in believing it's the real thing! Big admiration.

Thanks all. The leaves are dried maple and are partley painted, blending the real colours and textures then enhancing with thin glazes of paints.
dexter let's see some wip![]()
Is there such a thing as "brush envy?" I am so inspired by what you can do with paint. Yet, at the same time, I'm disappointed because this is now a model that I really doubt I would ever attempt; it would never come, even remotely, close to the awesomeness of yours.

All kidding aside, great work, and keep it coming!
Thanks all
Spent a few hours over the weekend painting the heroquest elf. I will be working my way through the hq minis over this year. I've always wanted to paint the lot of them to a reasonable high standard and nows the time. Bloody loved painting this!
I've slighty converted him by attaching a bow. Stuck nearly to the traditional colours and tried to make something of the awful gaming base.
It really shows the skill of the designers to make such simple but characterful miniatures that 30+ years on are a joy to paint.
